There seems to have been a bit of 'wool creep' in the last few years. For me, wools are anyone from Lancashire, Southport, and Runcorn onwards before you get to Manchester. Wirral and Wales are something else, not sure when the re-classification occured?

There are bad wools born & bred a lot closer, Whiston for example..Is there anything worse than a bad wool who is a bad meff?

Yeh, true that.

One of my more recent strange wool experiences. I was on the way back from a day out with the family recently, and we stopped for something to eat at a pub in Burscough. Was Saturday night, early evening, and busy with similar people and couples having meals etc. It's got a big restaurant area, and the food was nice, not just a bog standard pub. So yeh, suddenly a bloke wearing a cowboy hat comes in and starts setting up a karaoke machine, was a bit 'wtf'. Shortly afterwards, these strange hick types start getting up singing Hank Williams and Tammy Wynette covers for the remainder of the night, other odd balls dancing in front of them, including several people wearing dungarees (which unless you're a member of Dexy's Midnight Runners, is not acceptable). Thought I'd wandered into the bar from Every Which Way but Loose. Bizzare end to a nice meal.
