Looks like there won't be any golf for at least a few more months, so I thought I'd get some rules in place for when it finally resumes. Essentially, I'm thinking along the lines of continuing this season if golf resumes close to the end of one of the next planned seasons, and starting a new season otherwise.

For example, if the next tournament is somewhere in July (or November, or this time next year), then we'd continue this season until August 9, and start the next season as scheduled. But if the next tournament is mid-August (or in January), then this season would end with the current standings, and the next tournament would be the first tournament of the next season, which would then proceed normally.

Obviously, we have no idea when golf will resume, but I thought it would be good to have some rules in place, rather than improvise when it eventually happens.

I say cut the season here and declare FG the champion. We'd had quite a few tournaments and 128 is a good haul.

Yeah, I'd be fine with that, this season was certainly long enough. I just wanted to have something in place if they restart in July or November. It wouldn't make sense to have the next season last a month, but I also wouldn't want to merge the next two season and have them last six months.

Season 11 was meant to end on August 9, but, as it stands, we'll be lucky to have ten tournaments taking place by then, so I think the only sensible solution is to merge seasons 10 and 11.

Not the Open, but the US events will take place. Not as originally scheduled, though - PGA Championship in August, US Open in September (which is already the 2020/21 season on the PGA Tour calendar) and the Masters in November (so also next season).

On the European Tour, only the British Masters and the English Open late July are scheduled until September, everything else has been cancelled.

Conners and Harman have started solidly but they're my fliers in this. Took a lot of time to put a line through DeChambeau this week, so I know he's going to flush it for 4 days. I just wanted to wait until he's on a course where he can blast away off the tee because he's good with the driver now.

Conners and Harman had nothing to offer over the weekend. Harman is what he is; a steady Eddie that will occasionally pop up, but Conners makes you want to rip your hair out. Tee to green he can mix it with anyone, but can't find a putt.

Agree Dudley, most of these are well used to doing laps with nobody watching. Not sure I'd enjoy a Ryder Cup played like it, but for now it'll do.
