Pep must get used to teams playing like this against them.

Yep. Good practice for next weekend.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

There are no mid quality sides in the league though, there are 6 quality ones and 14 shit teams.

There are a couple of teams who can still get a one off result though. I'm thinking of Leicester who are good counter attacking side, or even Watford who have managed to achieve the odd unexpected result.

I think Pep's pretty well used to teams low blocking him, he's had it in three different countries. It's hard to play against but I think he mostly gets frustrated at his own players - first half they were impatient and nowhere near the intensity they needed to be. Second half was much better and Jesus should be starting every week, mainly because he's in my fucking fantasy team.

I'd like him to play him most weeks too then he'd get knackered and they would have more a problem.  ;D

When Moyes went to OT he had that record of 48 matches without winning at any of the big 5 grounds over many years.

He failed break it even with Man U and of course later with Sunderland. Today's reverse must put him close to 60 games with more to come I expect. He always manages to put a brave face on it though.

Just because the ship has sunk doesn't mean it hasn't steadied itself by the time it hits bottom, look at Sunderland, Moyes had them so steady they might end up in league 1.

Yet when he fails miserably here and gets sacked, another fucking Premier League club will hire him.  ::)

Which are the big 5 grounds? Anfield, Emirates, OT & Stamford Bridge are a given but what's the 5th? I assume either Etihad or WHL, but neither club were particularly 'big' during most of Moyes' Everton tenure.

I caught the last bits of the game. ManCity aren't firing on all cylinders, obviously. I really expected the scoreline to be 4-0 or something by the time I tuned in.

It was the big four, not the big five. Just the traditional big four too.

He won at the Etihad and WHL a few times with Everton.

Yeah he definitely won 2-1 at the Etihad a couple of times, I have a vague memory of Arteta scoring there one year and inspiring them to a heroic finish to the season where they ended up 8th or 7th or some shit.

oh, I feel so sad that Moyes is no longer the Man Utd manager. Such wonderful memories... Aloysius Paulus Maria "Louis" van Gaal played his part after that too, i'm just disappointed they got the man who was born to be a Man Utd manager (shitcoat) and not the natural successor, Roy Hodgson.
Following Liverpool since the mid 80s.

It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

Sorry Xabi, it was Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manu.

Man C hadn't received their petrodollars and Spuds were still being planted.

The irony was that as soon as Moyes went to OT, Everton broke their duck with a 1-0 win. 😀

How traditional do you need to be to get into the 'traditional' big four?

The fourth most successful English team in terms of league winners after us, the Mancs and Arsenal is actually Everton.
