Leipzig with two right backs and two left backs in that team. (Probably Angelino and Mukiele as designated FBs though)

2 of 'em will be with Upamecano in that back 3.

They are a bit low on actual central defenders at the moment through injury!

I've avoided the Haaland hype for a while, but he's a special player. His movement is so good, he makes scoring goals look easy. Dortmund was a very sensible move for him.

Schalke looked like a Champions League contending team before that drubbing at Allianz against Bayern. Since that defeat they have looked like the team they was last season and if their form doesn't quickly improve they could easily finish the season in 8th or 9th place.

4-0 Liepzig now Angelino with the goal

Schalke are not a very good football team. What we're seeing is them regressing to average for their performances but they might scrape the Europa League because of the incompetence of the rest.

He's defo signing isn't he? One day we'll wake up one morning and it'll just be announced. I'll go for April some time when Leipzig are done in the title race and our title has been confirmed.

Werner update:

Quote
Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Timo Werner with reports his release clause is significantly lower than originally claimed.

Werner has been linked with a move to the Reds and has launched a charm offensive by talking up Jurgen Klopp and his side.

It has been widely reported the in-demand striker would be available for a release clause of between £50million and £55million dependant upon the success of his current club, RB Leipzig, as long as it is triggered by the end of April.

But Sport1 have now claimed his release clause is actually worth just €30m (£25m) plus performance-based bonuses in news which will only increase levels of demand.

Numerous clubs have been linked with Werner, who scored in the Champions League against Tottenham last week and has 27 goals in 33 appearances this season.

But he has been vocal in his praise of Liverpool this week, labelling Jurgen Klopp the best coach in the world and fuelling rumours he could link up with the German at Anfield in the summer.

So, actual football, one of the last Monday night games tonight, Eintracht Frankfurt vs Union Berlin. Eintracht can't overtake anyone with a win, but at least would get closer to those Euro places again. If Union win, they will go up 2 places, and in fact overtake Frankfurt.

But of course, it clashes somewhat with our game, but will probably watch the first half hour.

Teams are still protesting the monday night games though, tonight Frankfurt fans are leaving their standing terrace empty.

Bayern Leverkusen are making a push towards those CL spots, saw the 2nd half of their game yesterday, they won 2-0, but could have and probably should have scored 1 or 2 more, they played some nice stuff. Massive blow for Leverkusen though is that Kevin Volland is out for the rest of the season it looks like, after tearing a ligament in his ankle.

How do you rate Hans-Dieter Flick chances at staying in charge next season? To me, if Bayern wins the Bundesliga it's a no-brainer, they have been great under him. Starting Alphonso Davies at LB was a masterstroke, he's been a beast. Top 5 in Europe right now.

He's bought them back to that Jupp Heynceks style of football, so they have automatically become a strong contender for the Champions League with him in charge. Bayern without a German manager simply doesn't work judging by the unsuccessful managers they had appointed after Heynceks before Dieter Flick arrived.

Pep was successful. Yes he haven't won the CL, but he won every season there. That being said, I do believe they would like a German manager with a team filled with young German talent, but when Kovac was sacked, I was certain they would go for ten Hag in the end of the season.

he was successful domestically, anytime you win trophies, it's success, but it was all kind of hollow, he took on a truly fantastic squad, much of them in their prime, added even more talent to it, and no team in Germany could compete with that team.  But just like at Man City, he was there to make Bayern dominant in Europe. Problem was, unlike at City, he was taking one of the biggest clubs in Europe who had already been to 2 CL finals in two years and won one, so the expected success was more finals, and winning another CL. And he failed at that.

The team Bayern have now isn't yet at the level of that Bayern squad from 2012-2016, but it's still of course a really good team, and a number of signings they have done in recent seasons like Gnabry, Goretzka, Davies and Sule have been excellent so far for them. They'll hope Pavard and Hernandez can prove to be the same in time. And these signings have also of course made them a lot younger! It's a great base to work with. So unless a disaster happens, I can see Hansi Flick getting the job in the summer, the players certainly respond to him. Not sure the Bayern bosses expected him to be so good, so it'll be a great situation for them not having to go down another path again in the summer.

He was actually on the bench for their last league game.

But otherwise, he's played a bit for Bayern II in 3. Liga. And that's been it.

Stupid career move most likely! Not even sure if he's that good.

Even though I can't stand Bayern, it will be a shame if this scuppers Lewandowski's chance to beat Gerd Müller's scoring record. Although it'd been a big ask anyway, he'd have had to have gone on one heck of a run the last 11 games.

Mind, I also wouldn't be surprise if he makes a miraculous recovery and is back in 2 weeks  :P
