I'm paying for it because I now have the tension waiting for the drives to appear (they won't) or the email cancelling the order (it will).

I work for an IT Reseller, showed it to the boss the other day and he ordered 500.  Not holding out much hope.

How much is a 250GB drive these days?

Can I get one that powers down with the PC. The one i've got at work stays running, which is fine for work , but not so hot on the bedroom pc!

If he gets his and I don't get mine I'll not be happy :(

If you get a mobile one they can run off USB power so when the pc is off so is the drive. Although I don't know whether you can get bigger than 120gb...

DVD and DivX player at Argos for 30 squid. A mate just got one.

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5335275.htm

Just bought one, 27.99. Ace at that price.

My box says it's a 2054, which doesn't show online, there's a 2055 though.

They still had 6 left... :P

tech forum?

There are some quite amazingly hi-tech fibres in a modern football shirt.

Just got Pro Evo 08 and Football Manager 2008 from Play.com for £39.98 + shipping.

Can't really go wrong, considering Pro on it's own was more than that in the shops last week.

Am After a iPod Dock with DAB Radio, I've seen an InTempo RDI and Chronos iDoc thingy, but nowhere is selling them (UK anyway). Anyone seen any for sale, or recommend any others??

*potential* deals at Amazon.

They're doing a customer vote thing, you vote for an item, if it wins the vote you get the chance to be offered one of the items at a seriously knocked down price.

Today's vote is a nintento wii, ps3, or a garish looking xbox 360, all at 75% off retail price, the vote lasts til midnight and then tomorrow they're offering 250 units of the winning item to people who voted for that item.

They're doing a couple of these over the next few days, worth a go, isn't it? Even I'd have a nintendo wii for £44 ;)

So what are Amazon going to do if Wii wins? Offer them at £180 but tell everyone they are out of stock?
