There's a remarkable amount of scenarios affecting so many people isn't there? Chatting to a few people and hearing their issues has been an eye opener. It's undoubted that there's a few situations which are genuine, non-profit making agreements and arrangement amongst Reds with ST's who are worried and don't know how to approach the next stage of this process.

Thanks for your input and attempted clarification Graham, it's been appreciated.

Any new members who want to try for tickets will have to go through the Update.

Cheers Graham,

on another note, if you dont have +13 PL 2018-19 but are in the ACS for all cups will you have to do the Fan Update ASAP for the Genk and Napoli home games for your payment to work and for any FA cup or EFL cup games if we get drawn at Anfield in 2020 please ?

Would an easier way to combat touting not be for the club to buy some of the outrageously priced tickets on social media and then cancel the fancards?

Not a way to reduce touting but a suggestion none the less.

I would be up for paying more money per game/season ticket to ensure a few hundred or so free tickets to local kids in a section of The Kop.

I went to the Boss Kids session over the weekend and it was absolutely boss to watch a load of young kids just getting stuck into the songs. I know through my own experience with my work that most of these kids rarely go the game.

The number of tickets available could correlate with the amount of people that 'tick the box' to say that they would pay a few quid more to get these kids in the ground. Available to say 11-16 years olds, first come, first served on the day of the match. They need to bring their passport as proof of age?

I agree to be honest, as long as it's optional I guess as it can add up to quite a bit over a season. Especially League Cup/FA Cup games I think there should be a sizeable amount of tickets going to local kids that deserve them.

I expect the timeline of this project to be extended when the club realises how many different stories they’ll have to consider.

Is this just aimed at league games as it says in November sales?

Wondering if the 13+ games criteria is just for league credits or as a whole. I'll have to do it if its the latter but not just leagues.

It will be for any member ticket purchases of any type after the deadline for Updating passes. No update, no ticket.

My wife has just done this with passport and it was okay. Bright light, landscape of the back page with picture. Don't know what to suggest, sorry.

By the way, we couldn't see how you also included address verification, as passport doesn't have address, so phoned up enquiries just now. They suggested sending that extra id picture (she was using photo of paper driving licence showing her address) to the enquiries email address, which we've just done. Hopefully it will get matched and played without further hassle!

Took mine on a black desk which worked first time.
Worth a try-dark background-see if that’s the common issue.

But can kids just go on their own, or with other kids? Isn't there safeguarding issues there that says they have to be with an adult?

So if every kid has to also have an adult ticket as well you can see the problems that will cause, and it will deffo be abused, kids scheme or not

Mine is also failing. It's cropping ok, but I wonder if it is because my driver's licence has my middle name on, and I only have my first name registered with the club. Anyway, I'm sure a human could sort this out, everything is in my name, at my home address.

Hi all,

First I am reading about this and its from RAWK, no e-mail, no text, no nothing, so if I didn't read RAWK I wouldn't know about it.

Where is the special section to do it on members page, can't seem to find it.

Trying to get my head around how this will effect me.

My son and I both have memberships and we're in the ACS, have been since it started. He's away at uni, so when he can't go to the match his mum comes with me. She had a fancard but doesn't have her own membership.

I don't buy tickets for league matches unless he's home and can go.

Will I have to transfer his cup tickets to his mum for the matches he can't go to, and will she need her own membership?

Just seems a way for the club to sell more memberships.

That confirms it needs to be done in order to buy in the November bulk sale.

So the FAQs are misleading.

So the FAQs are misleading.

It says 'The Official Members who attended 13 or more games last season will need to confirm or amend their registered details in order to gain entrance to the stadium using tickets bought in the Members’ ticket sale in November.'

That sounds like you can still buy in November but will need to complete it to go to games in the New Year, so the 31 December date is consistent with that.

Exactly. It's not complicated, read everything issued by the club carefully and it all confirms this.

Fan Update to be done by end of December, and for use of tickets in the stadium there will be checks from January onwards which means you can buy in the bulk sale with no problem but if you haven't done Fan Update by the time you come to use the ticket there might be an issue.

However I can't see how they're going to be able to identify who needs checking as they get into the ground, so I suspect nothing will actually be done until everyone has gone through the process i.e. checks wil start next season.

I get why but it’s a shame isn’t it. Kids on their own will be less inhibited than with their parent.
I was at St Pauli a few years ago. They had a kids corner. It looked supervised. Something like that could work. It would be surprising if the club did help with that. Got risks and less money!
