This is actually a really good idea. There are so many great film posters swimming around the internet right now - official, fan made, foreign language.



Maybe one film poster and a clip from your film would be good.

It wouldn't be quite the same with film clips, but I think it's important to give life to our picks. Whenever it really slowed up for me I just clicked the x in my browser progress bar to stop it from all loading up. That way you can see the pick without killing your data.

One video each should be all right, problem was everyone was choosing two or three for each post in the festival thread. It's a movie draft, you have to have footage.

It was more to promote variety than it was to force people to pick older movies.

It would be a pretty boring draft if we ended up with a massive long list of 80's action films

Maybe 24 would be a good shout? 4 round one draws consisting of 6 competitors each. Top 3 from each go through to the semi finals. Then top three from each semi through to a final 6?

When I left my first long term job (3 years at a friends company) he gave me The Godfather boxset. Fantastic stuff.

First read the book circa 1991 on a warship in the middle of nowhere while in the Royal Navy. I was mesmerised by it. Must have read the novel dozens of times.

Watched the movie when I got home not expecting it to be a patch on the written word.  I was wrong, a rare occasion where the movie is as good as, if not better than the book
