Welcome to RPLP 2016/17 Season.

Hi all,

We have a nice number of new sign-ups and one or two old faces returning. There is still a few players that need to confirm they are in for this season. Please do so here http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=328932.0

Again we will have two x 20 team leagues, the Premier League and the Championship.

League One will not have any head to head fixtures.

I don't think I need to explain the scoring system in detail but for the new players basically, you post your score predictions for the Premier League fixtures on a weekly basis.

You score points based on your predictions.

e.g.

Arsenal v Liverpool

You predict Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool.

* The match ends 1-1. You earn 3 points for predicting a correct score.

* The match ends 2-2. You earn 1 point for predicting the correct result, in this case a draw.

* The match ends 0-2. You earn no points as you didn't predict a correct score or result.

Head to head format:

New players will not be concerned with this as it is for PL and Championship players.

This season will see the re-introduction of the head to head format where you will play one of your league opponents each week and will play each other league opponent twice.

If you outscore your opponent based on your total prediction points versus theirs, you win the tie and earn 3 pts for the win. If you and your opponent end up on equal points, you get 1 point for drawing the 'match' and obviously if your opponent outscores you, you lose the tie and earn nothing.

***Note: I will post the full fixture list and make it available on the dropbox link for all fixtures in the PL and Championship.

PENALTIES:

All predictions must be posted before the kick-off deadline which is always the kick-off time of the earliest game in any given round, some of which will be on a Friday night.

If you miss the posting deadline, and post late, you may only earn points for any matches which have not yet kicked off on the day you post or those following. There will not be a -3 pt penalty as per previous seasons.

Prediction posts edited after the kick-off time in that round will render that post void so please ensure if you wish to edit your predictions you ONLY do so up until and before kick-off time at the beginning of the round.

A post registered at 3.00pm (if 3pm is first kick-off) will be deemed late. In this case all prediction posts must be posted on or before 2.59pm etc.

I will confirm the full entry list next week.

Finally as per last season, please keep all chat / discussion in this thread. This thread will be used for scoring updates and news etc.
Please only post prediction posts in the other thread which will be opened next week.

No, there are no head to head fixtures in Division 1 as there aren't enough people, and the fact that almost every single person in league 1 is new to the comp, so no idea if they'll see it out to the end. No point in creating fixtures then someone with 15 posts and has been here a month (or someone with 10000 that's been here 5 years) fucking off in November when they're doing shite.

Check your scores compared to the results. 3 points for an exact score, 1 point for the right outcome. You've 2 exact scores and 3 correct outcomes

I'm bank. A steady, proven lifetime 6 points from the 60 on offer, year after year. I'd bet heavily on the trend but i'm afraid it would alter my thinking to do so, possibly improving my game but also ruining me financially as well as just emotionally.
