Some just don't follow. The stronger the Man City team we face (in terms of individual pedigree) the better it will be for Liverpool. If you walk onto the field and you see you're facing Ronaldo, Bale and all the fancy pants players, it gives you more reason to show you got a bigger one and a heavier punch. If those fancy pants got trembling legs between them, then it's going to be even easier for us to thwow them to the floor, sir.

And how would anyone know that? Ironically I think its because City have gone 4th and the bookies/markets think they'll be he'll-bent on not only closing the gap with us but also going back into 2nd so they have them as favorites.

As long as we beat anyone placed in front of us, I couldn't care less who is out and who starts for them.
It could be the City reserves rocking up today with their pimped out bus and I bet anyone associated with Liverpool will want to tonk 'em.

I just have a feeling Klopp is getting glorious flashbacks of the Ox against City in the European game at Anfield and might go with him ahead of Gini hence subbing him off early against Genk.
I keep swinging between keep it solid and have Gini or go for it and have Ox.

Are the concerns over Ox that he isn’t 100% fit for a normal game or to be 100% over 90 minutes?
If he can play 60 and we go at them then we can always sub for Gini.

We are at Anfield.
If there ever was a time where we show them who we are it’s in our own ground.

I don't get why anyone watches the build up its total bs, people full of agenda and inconsistencies.

Channels like Anfield Wrap really put into sharp perspective just how flaky, shallow and unprepared common punditry is. Now, to be honest, Anfield Wrap folks are 110% focussed on Liverpool so they would know better - but still the mainstream punditry is mostly just tossing around overused soundbites and cliches with little to no stats or actual information to back it up. It's the last big bastion of what football used to be, with people 'eyeballing it', 'winging it', 'giving it to them' - instead of todays data-driven, hyper analytical approach clubs use.

I hadn’t realised Silva was a doubt anyway. Hadn’t paid much attention to them. Laporte and Sane out is good enough for me, they’re weaker without both. If Ederson does play we can put him under a load of pressure. He was making mistakes before his injury and he’ll be even more susceptible if he’s not quite 100%.

Rodri really isn't up to the speed of the league yet. He's not as good as Fernandinho is when it comes to protecting and moving the ball when under pressure. I've seen him get caught out numerous times against lesser sides and lesser players, so if he's being rushed back from injury and starts as number six, I think we'll get some joy from him.

I wonder how much of a benefit these injury mind games have to the Man City players? If these are mind games, are they intended as a boost for the City players or to unsettle our players? If the Man City players are feeling nervous about facing us, but then get some good injury news and they're stronger than previously thought, do they suddenly fancy their chances more? Adds another dimension other than simply trying to mess our game plans up, which is a bit silly as we wouldn't take notice of their claims.

Still - he'll be just as great coming on at 60 to scare the hell out of them.

Yeah I'll be happy if Ederson does play, so that Alisson can wind him up in the tunnel that he is Brazil's no.1 and Ederson aint.

Mind games. Forget that.

It's a bit sad really isn't it? Making up blatant lies about injuries. it's not even a "mind game" when not one person on the planet actually believed him anyway. Really weird but then he's a really weird man.

Not much needed to say about the quality of whitewashing Abu Dhabi FC. Oilstate money can buy success unfortunately. Its become a foul, disgusting and hollow shell of a club, soulless. Some pathetic media talking from Pep and this fake injury shit is just so childish. Hope we really smash them! But as long as we win, dont care how!

They had all the margins last season. Hopefully we get the margins this season. Anfield crowd can help with that, certainly will make our lads feel great and the opposition shit. City dont need a welcome, they arent and should be made aware of that.

Just fucking win!
