Ehhh - imagine if we had Keane. Stats show he is better. Maybe even substantially.

it is super catchy - I've had it playing in the background at work several times today.

(also the Pogues lead singer .... his grill  :o )

Have you never seen him before? Do you hibernate each Christmas?!

Never though I'd see the day that we'd be on the same level as Atleti ini terms of defending.

Those stats are NOT a good thing.

They tell me that we are a one-man team.

(Now I just need to figure out whether the one-man is VVD, Salah, Firmino, Gini or Alisson)   ;D ;D ;D

Well - VvD (Keane better), Salah (pace goals don't count), Firmino (can't even make brazil....oh he is? Richarlison should be the starter), Gini (relegated), Alisson (Pickford, 'nuff said).

So since all of them suck - it's really back to normal - dodgy refs, RS conspiracy, and luck aka deal with the devil.

Lovren is the one-man... world cup and European cup runners-up medal and one of the best defenders in the world.

We've actually only conceded 12 with him in the team. The other two he wasn't in the side.

My only concern with VVD is that he is so good at the game that I think he can get bored and starts playing on autopilot, and has yet to be truly punished for it because he is so blindingly quick that he recovers before anyone can take advantage.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!

Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him

Immense signing. I’m starting to conclude that he may be the most important signing we have made in the last 25 years. Only Suárez can compete for me. IMO his impact on the team has been greater than even Suárez, which may be a big statement for some. He really is an absolute colossus.

It's 14 I think  based on what I'm looking at.

League debut at Swansea, missed Huddersfield, then all league games since. In total he played 14 league games in 17/18 (10 conceded)  and 10 league games in 18/19 (4 conceded)

Yeah you're right. Went back and double checked and think I missed the Spurs 2-2 game from last season.

Was that the home game?  If so, that was when Lamella dives into him to get a penalty.

What an incredible player. It’s a joy to watch him play. I may be exaggerating now, but I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a more talented defender. Sure, to be among the greats he needs to prove his worth over many more seasons, but in terms of raw ability there are only a handful that can match him. He’s got everything you’d want in a defender.

Our best player

Yesterday and since he joined in January. His impact on the entire defensive unit has been invaluable. Not to mention the obvious positive he is on young Joe’s development. He’s our most important player
