The way we play includes routinely such back pass to the keeper. Adrian is not that terrible with his feet, he just made the wrong decision. He should have passed to VVD who was available to his left. He decided instead to be clever and eliminate the pressing player by turning to his right, but Gomez was under pressure already and nit available, which Adrian probably noticed late and hesitated where to put the pass. By that time it was too late, and he should have cleared the ball. Two wrong decisions, neither one Robbo's fault.

It was a piss easy pass for any professional player in any position to deal with imo. Only saw the first hour, Robertson looked like the only player in that back 8 to have turned up.

Wind it in. I’ve played with Sunday league standard keepers who’d have shown more composure and better execution than Adrian in that moment. Let’s not blame Robbo for the fact that a highly paid professional goalkeeper at the highest level of the game couldn’t simply pass it 5 yards or put his foot through it.

Robbo was alright last night and clearly trying to drag the side onwards. One of the few without a damaged reputation.

I'm not blaming Robertson for the goal and I'm certainly not excusing Adrian. But Robertson should have passed him the ball on the floor rather than chest high meaning he has to take more time to control it. Alisson can deal with those types of back passes as he's a world class goalkeeper.

The goal is 100% Adrian's fault BUT Robertson could have made his life easier with a better back-pass in my opinion. There was a bit of complacency in that pass and in our overall performance.

Liked Andy's interview after the game. Let's hope the rest of the boys share his obvious anger at the performance and sort it out. I think they will and they at least deserve our support after one horror show in however long it's been. Lots of leaders on the park which makes the performance all the more bizarre. Everyone went missing at the same time.

it’s always thus isn’t it,  on forums, on social media, whereaver. A player has a scintillating start to his club career, or at his new team, and he’s hailed as already having made it.

Plenty where (probably still are!) claiming Wan Bissaka was the best right back in the prem after 1 season.

Davies will be just fine, but even through his very good 1st full season, he still struggled a hell of a lot defensively, but could rely on pace to cover a lot of it.

Definitely man of the match. Always surprises me that he never gets mentioned as a future captain. Difficult to think of many players who set a more consistent level and example. Must be a dream to play with.
