I like Max to come back. Other than the three weeks that is the Tour he was a good poster in the pro-cycling thread, very knowledgeable about the history of the sport, and reliable whenever I needed some help when writing the race previews. A good red, who hasn't missed a game home and away in decades, Scouser and a socialist...he did like to derail a thread though.

I know he still looks in, I've checked his profile...if you're looking in now la....

I think he was a Simao fan - always thought we could do a bit better in that position. If i recall correctly, could have been wrong.... If i'm honest against the lower league teams we could have probably done with someone who'd 'go at them' a bit more....i guess that was Pennant's role.
