He'd be a brilliant brand ambassador, particularly with the upcoming Nike deal.

To think of the shit he used to get because he was injured.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I posted here how my wife and I drove 3600km to Ann Arbor, Michigan and back to watch us against Utd a couple of pre-seasons ago.

It was all worth it because I got to yell "I love you Daniel" at the top of my voice when he came on as a sub.

loved him when he was here. Fuck it, still love him. What a guy. He was absolutely lethal in 13/14.

Fucking pisses me off the way injuries ravaged him. Peak-fitness Sturridge would've been amazing under Klopp. Oh, what could've been...

That league cup game against Southampton early in Klopp's time. I reckon the Southampton scorer was worth looking at though.

Alberto Moreno pissed on what would have been a fantastic legacy for him here  :no

The last Liverpool player whose name I got on my shirt. Absolutely incredible in the 2013/14 season and scored some crucial goals last season too! I'm glad he got a CL winner's medal with us, after the heart-break of 2013/14 and the Europa league final.
Mark my words. Top 8 will be a massive struggle.
We won't make any big signings this season and we will go back to being a top4 club.

No they're not. Saw them yesterday on Twitter, that very screenshot, and knew right away they were bogus*. No website has them, only social media posts. Dude who I saw posting them, was asked by someone if he had the source for them, unsurprisingly never responded.

*It has nothing to do with Sturridge btw. It's just people who attribute fake quotes cause they have nothing else to do and they are after likes etc.

No surprise.

Still, Sturridge was an excellent player here, and though it still seems unlikely, with all the talk about retrospective league titles, it'd be great to see him get one for us to add to his Champions League.

Was going to say, that doesn’t sound like Sturridge at all. Not saying he doesn’t love Liverpool but think if he was to go anywhere after retirement, it’d be Birmingham. What a player he was though, some of his finishes were world class. His relationship with Suarez always got me wondering though. They played amazingly well together but I always feel like off the pitch, they didn’t connect with each other much.

Most players don't connect off the pitch, and it doesn't really matter as long as they have an understanding on it.

Not surprised Sturridge is the coolest person on the planet and Suarez is a prick lol.;D

Him and Henderson were very close though, probably due to language barrier also.

Arguably the best finisher we've had.
And that's considering Rush, Dalglish, Fowler, Owen, Torres, and Suarez.

He could score straight back from injury too.

Yeah, I actually think Robbie is under-rated amongst our fanbase, especially the older heads.
I'd put Robbie above Rushie in terms of pure skill and audacious finishing ability.
And Daniel has touches of both.

That league cup game against Southampton early in Klopp's time. I reckon the Southampton scorer was worth looking at though.

WED 02 Dec 2015 EFL Cup - Quarter-Final

Southampton 1 Liverpool 6

    Mané (1' minutes)

HT 1-3

Sturridge (25' minutes, 29' minutes), Origi (45' minutes, 68' minutes, 86' minutes), Ibe (73' minutes)

Stoke next round. Remember going in the boozer after the draw, really wanted to celebrate. Unfortunately the landlord called time. My mate Dave (you know who you are), said to him, kinell mate, can't get a drink around here past 11. The landlord said yeah, the bizzies around here are terrible, licensing laws. Dave replied, well where im from, we just invite the bizzies in for a drink and have a lock in.

Didn't work...

Great night though, Sturridge!

Wadya mean?

If you ask most older fans who grew up with the front two of Rush and Kenny, to put a LFC best 11 together they'd majority of the time pick Rushie ahead of all our other strikers in our history.
I'm from that generation. But I'm not that partisan. I recognise that Robbie is probably the more versatile and complete striker and so he'd get in above Rushie in my best 11.

A week earlier, and he might have been the answer to Barças striker problem! 😂

It's strange. I'm assuming, in the absence of any further information at present, that it's to do with his body?
That's also why I'm not sure his body would hold up to MLS. It's not as 'slow' as people think. It's filled with great athletes (although maybe his condition might be better managed there, a tailored training regime etc. Who knows)
Hell, just bring him back here, give him a run out in 5 games, so he can get a medal!
Best of luck to him, whatever his next move is.
