It was all worth it because I got to yell "I love you Daniel" at the top of my voice when he came on as a sub.

The last Liverpool player whose name I got on my shirt. Absolutely incredible in the 2013/14 season and scored some crucial goals last season too! I'm glad he got a CL winner's medal with us, after the heart-break of 2013/14 and the Europa league final.

No they're not. Saw them yesterday on Twitter, that very screenshot, and knew right away they were bogus*. No website has them, only social media posts. Dude who I saw posting them, was asked by someone if he had the source for them, unsurprisingly never responded.

Still, Sturridge was an excellent player here, and though it still seems unlikely, with all the talk about retrospective league titles, it'd be great to see him get one for us to add to his Champions League.

Was going to say, that doesn’t sound like Sturridge at all. Not saying he doesn’t love Liverpool but think if he was to go anywhere after retirement, it’d be Birmingham. What a player he was though, some of his finishes were world class. His relationship with Suarez always got me wondering though. They played amazingly well together but I always feel like off the pitch, they didn’t connect with each other much.

Most players don't connect off the pitch, and it doesn't really matter as long as they have an understanding on it.

Not surprised Sturridge is the coolest person on the planet and Suarez is a prick lol.

Him and Henderson were very close though, probably due to language barrier also.

He could score straight back from injury too.

Yeah, I actually think Robbie is under-rated amongst our fanbase, especially the older heads.
I'd put Robbie above Rushie in terms of pure skill and audacious finishing ability.
And Daniel has touches of both.

If you ask most older fans who grew up with the front two of Rush and Kenny, to put a LFC best 11 together they'd majority of the time pick Rushie ahead of all our other strikers in our history.
I'm from that generation. But I'm not that partisan. I recognise that Robbie is probably the more versatile and complete striker and so he'd get in above Rushie in my best 11.

It's strange. I'm assuming, in the absence of any further information at present, that it's to do with his body?
That's also why I'm not sure his body would hold up to MLS. It's not as 'slow' as people think. It's filled with great athletes (although maybe his condition might be better managed there, a tailored training regime etc. Who knows)
Hell, just bring him back here, give him a run out in 5 games, so he can get a medal!
