Apparently, Pope Francis published an open letter to Biden congratulating him on his entry into office.

“I extend cordial good wishes and the assurance of my prayers that Almighty God will grant you wisdom and strength in the exercise of your high office.”

Wonder if he did the same for Trump. Fell on deaf ears if he did.

BBC political balance had a counterweight piece from the cosplayer dickhead who gave that “speech” with his two chums the other day.

He lives in a shipping container with his dog. He has a patio deck made from pallets. And him and his mate were showing how good a shot they were (after beers) and set fire to the hay bale they were using as a target.

Thought you were referring to Trump until ‘chums’ and ‘mate’ were mentioned.

Great speech by Biden today and a top day all round politics wise. A big chunk of light breaking out of the darkness.

Pretty emotional right now, I have a very good feeling about him and his administration. Raising a glass of whiskey and toasting to a better future.

I genuinely think the tone he sets will set a standard which will affect the world, including our own political class. I've been surprised by how statesmanlike, powerful and compassionate he has come across. More fool me. Well in, Joe.

Couldn't help thinking how Biden and Harris actually considered and respected the words they spoke taking the Presidential oath rather than the last president who just mouthed them off.
Biden has his work cut out. hope he's judged with this in mind in 4yrs.
