Hmm.. interesting. I've 'emptied the library' at the moment and am looking for something to start. I do like a good detective show, if you dont mind me asking, what do you mean by forensic? CSI kinda thing, (if so, pass), or more of a.. clue gathering thingie?
not forensic based like CSI, that's what i meant (tho of course there are elements of clue gathering etc as with any detective show)
it's more psychological, based on the obssessive nature of the detective - in that he does beyond just normal shit in his involvement in a case - each season presents a scenario that 'isn't quite what it seems' vibe and the main character not letting up on getting to the bottom of shit.
season 1 is the strongest, as noted above by posters, but i feel the others are worth a watch as pullman is excellent and it really gravitates around him and the less than straight forward nature of the cases, even tho they seem open and shut to start with.
i just finished the last season, bit of a doozy that one lol, i still enjoyed it and it kept me with it til the end but man, talk about going off on tangents
anyway, if you like the character pullman plays i would recommend all the seasons, if you dont, then as they guys say above, season 1 might be the way to go
