page 4 mate. i only laid it 3 weeks ago. watered it most nights. weve had had some rain too.

a bit of hard work, sweat and dirt and you go from this

to this

and finally to this.all for less than 100 quid.will be nice to have a decent garden for a change.

did this lot  below last year.

still not finished with the garden, but slowly getting there and gives a sense of achievement from before and after.

Hosing it during the day is like pouring hot water on it. Do it at night.

sarge, your hard work looks worthwhile too. we arent in your league, but i understand what you are saying, you have to sow plenty to ensure a good return.
i just thought when we sowed that we would get a 100% return on our effort. i know now thats not the case and its a case of keeping sowing until we get what we finally want to achieve.

You should get a large % on your return but with wind, rain, cunting slugs and that you will loose seeds. On seed trays just follow the instructions or google for info. 9 out of 10 you get a large return.

Dear Sarge,

I overheard me mam saying she had to put down pellets in the front garden as the slugs keep eating her Salvia. I was hoping you could help me with 2 questions........,

1) Would this be the same salvia that is sold in Head Shops for its' psycoactive properties? and,

2) Should I smoke it and find out anyway?

Hugs n' kisses, your friend,

Macco.

I have recently decided (in recessionary times) to sell plants that i grow myself as i am a qualified horticulurist and i may as well use it so at present in the recent plant season i reckon about 15,000 give or take a thousand or 5.

Argh! I used to get lots of ants and bugs on my Sunflower and my mum's friend said to spray the plant with some diluted washing up liquid. I thought I'd give it a try yesterday and when I saw it today all the leaves are dead. It looks horrible and old and frailed now. :'(
