Cazorla with a volley but keeper gets a hand to it  and it hits the bar. Spain have hit the woodwork 4 times! A bit unlucky

Controversially, if it came down to a choice between selling Suarez and selling Carroll, I’d sell Suarez.

Just seen Pepe's blunder. Oh fuck.

Pedro on for Alonso. Doesnt look as though Torres is going to come on. Don't know whether thats good or bad news. Ill take it as good news
It's a bit worrying. If the intention was not to play him which makes perfect sense then why take him half way round the world instead of allowing him to rehabilitate further.

My natural pessimism fears a little twinge.

This was one of the best performances of an english team I´ve seen in a very, very long time. Congrats Ivan, you did a great job, this team is on a very good way. Just get rid of Lampard and Terry and this will become better than most could imagine...
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Me too. Poor Pepe. And then to be taken off almost straight after too. :(
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

No, on both accounts. Bellend.
I trust the King, but if we lose a few more on the trot now - he may have to step aside, and we have to purchase another manager in the middle of the season. If we are relegated, this could be the end of our ambitions to win any title the next 100 years.

Other proof of how it should have been in the first half. But instead, mister Del Bosque thought for any reason that Silva was a number 9.

Yeah i didn't get Silva there.  Mancini for some reason also had him play up front with Tevez for his debut for some reason.

And the poor guy is now on Mancini's bench... sometimes I have to wonder wtf the coaches are thinking.

Well he was part of the squad which is why he went. If he was injured they wouldn't have taken him.
