He'll be on the bench for Sunderland, I'd put money on it.
He's been running, he's in training and it's full-contact, there's no reason why he shouldn't be considered for a 5 minute cameo to get this first appearance monkey off his back.
He won't want the added pressure of the Manc game or the important Lyon game to be making his debut.

I thought the same thing earlier this week, my old fella told me that he was buzzing around in a full on practice game with the ressies and looked fine. He may make the bench.

I think he will score goals, lots of them from midfield just to relieve the pressure on the main protagonists in Gerrard, Torres, Kuyt and Yossi.

We have missed a goal-scoring midfielder bar Gerrard and Xabi for all his credit, never scored that many. Masch and Lucas will not trouble the goalkeeeper as much as we want them to.

Some technique the lad has.
