I think Rafa just represents everything Keys hates about modern football. Keys has made a career hanging on the coattails of the 'proper football men' brigade, he's all about the pints, the oi oi, the who's Redknapp "hanging out the back of" this week?, the banter on the golf course.

Rafa, on the other hand, is a proper gentleman.

I think Keys still isn't over the fact that the game's changed and it's not run by Ferguson and his LMA cronies any more. The likes of Rafa and previously Wenger represent that change.
