To be fair it can't be easy for linesmen. They have to see the instant the pass is made then instantly check along the line while people are moving. Bollocks decision but it's impossible to look 2 places at once.
If they can't look two places at once how do they not get knocked down crossing junctions on the way to the game?
And don't say traffic lights.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

Have to say, from what I saw, both Burnley and Hull were hard done by today. The non-offside for the Arsenal penalty is hard to explain. The Lino is looking straight across the line. The Alonso challenge on Gray ( was it Gray?) is a stonewall peno. Regardless of how those decisions effect us, they are really really bad and both favoured the home and  "big" sides". It's not good enough.
How can people say Burnley had been hard done by when we got denied a blatant penalty on Mustafi? Things happen in football, the end of the game was mental, that is what football can do. But to say Arsenal got lucky or the ref is in on a conspiracy is plainly nonsense.

I thought that if you said anything negative about the team it's printed out and given to the players at Melwood this next morning.

Isn't that always been the case why we aren't allowed to criticise anyone or project bad vibes. I am one with the force the force is with me.

Who said you're not allowed to criticise players? Constructive criticism is welcomed on the boards as far as I'm aware. Being a wanker and saying x player is shite isn't.

How did this utter bullshit prediction work out for you then? Are United still in the title race?

A defeat at Old Trafford and draw at home with Swansea a week later, in 16 days, 10 hours, 54 minutes and 1 second and were ahead of them on goal difference in fifth. I've more chance of being the first person on Mars though.  ::)

That's the thing though, we'll beat them at home then go and fuck it up away at Hull.

Yes we have but Chelsea's run has been fucking brilliantly and meant we haven't been able to make any slips.

Hopefully we learn from them now though.

Who said the Ref is in on a conspiracy,? You sound like Donald Trump. Calm down please.

I said from what I saw. I didn't see the tackle on Mustafi, so I can't comment.

As for things happening in football, I hope you will be as understanding the next time you have a blatantly offside goal awarded against you. May I say that I have no reason to believe that you won't be  ;)

Hull City statement :

The Club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.

He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery.

Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

Everyone at the Club would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent and swift care given to Ryan by both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

A further update will be issued tomorrow.

Indeed, reassuring too.  A lot of the time induced comas are common if there's brain swelling so in that sense after a massive hit to the head it's not too uncommon.  Hopefully it just means it's relatively routine stuff given the circumstances.

Fingers crossed for a full recovery.

Thought at the time it was extremely brainless by Cahill to be honest to go full force for the ball he had virtually no chance of winning. Hope the lad will be ok.

Hopefully so. Pretty sure Michael Schumacher, of which we know very little in terms of how he's doing now, and Jules Bianchi, sadly we do know the outcome, were both put in induced comas. Just hope Hull's statement means he is out of danger. Media in being irresponsible shocker  :wanker

Sounds as if he's in stable condition after successful surgery and will remain in hospital for a few days, so good news there. It's serious but not as serious as initially thought.

I reckon he'll be out for a good while and I suppose he'll be wearing one of those helmets like Cech for the rest of his career, if nothing else for piece of mind.

The Hull statement sounds a bit better than what was being said on Twitter last night, genuinely felt sick when I heard the kid was fighting for his life.  :-\

Best wishes for a speedy recovery and hope everything works out ok. Really puts things into perspective.

Hull City statement :

The Club can confirm that Ryan has been visited this morning at St Mary's Hospital by Club Captain Michael Dawson, Club Doctor Mark Waller, Head of Medical Rob Price and Club Secretary Matt Wild.

Ryan has been speaking of the incident yesterday and will continue to be monitored at the hospital over the coming days where the Club will remain in close contact with Ryan, his family and the staff at St Mary's.

Ryan and his family have also been extremely touched by the overwhelming support they have received  and would very much like to thank all of those who have posted such positive comments both on social media and in the press over the last 24 hours.

Mark Waller,  there's a blast from the past. Hopefully he's on the mend and in time will be back playing again.

Yeah he realised that Gerard Houllier's chest pains were serious which led to his emergency heart op.

Saved Djibril Cisse from potentially losing his leg after that horrific leg break at Blackburn and also oversaw Momo Sissoko's eye injury too after he was blinded in his right eye at Benfica.

Fingers crossed  Ryan Mason makes a full recovery too.
