Only real difference between us and Chelsea is the speed at which they pass it.

Really?

When we were not in the CL then so it makes no difference for us CL or not.

Yeah I know, I don't want us to be in the Champions League to help us spend more money. I wan't to be in it so we have a chance of winning it for the 6th time. The added financial strength is just a bonus.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

Yeah the chance to win it is a fair and correct readon. I accept that. The signing players and extra money isnt.

So assuming we can't win the title, you'd rather us finish 5th-8th every season Dynamo Kiev'ing it in the Europa League?
That's not what I am saying, I am saying that us finishing in the CL positions or EL positions will do nothing in the long term future of the club, of course I want to see us compete in the CL, but I also want to see us win cups, something we haven't done in years.

Look at their team - It didn't cost much more than ours.

If you're going to be like that, what about the wages? What about the blatant gaming of the system by stocking up on players they then send out on loan or to their two feeder clubs? And no doubt shitloads of dodgy agent dealings.

Ramires, Oscar, Luiz, Lukaku, De Bruyne.

Trust me they understand the market. They make a shit load of money on players - we spunk it up the wall year in year out.

Look at their team - It didn't cost much more than ours.

I don't think you're understanding the point being made. Yeah they may appear astute in the transfer market but no one gives a fuck about that cause they're a club full of right-wing racist Tory c*nts and we wouldn't our club to copy anything they do.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

We signed him for just over 20 million from Ajax. You honestly don't think we could do that again? Tell me when this club has ever signed already world class international footballers?
All the names I have seen us linked with, Quincy Promes, Sardar Azmoun, and Julian Brandt can easily be signed whether we're in the CL or not, the only exception is Draxler and we balked just as he demanded more money.

Back to the game, that has to be a penalty for Hull, the officiating this week has been terrible.

Costa is the biggest difference...and they've been insanely fortunate with injuries. Have they lost any key player for a significant amount of time this season??? They're nothing special, they've been outplayed by us, Arsenal and Spurs this season.

this league is a joke, so many games are decided by shite decisions by the officials. What's the point in investing in it when so many games are decided incorrectly.

Yeah and we signed Suarez when we weren't in the Champions League for not that much money and he turned out to be world class. Your point was we'll never sign world class players a la Suarez under these owners when we did, in fact, sign a world class player called Suarez under these owners?

Ha ha Hendo isn't a DM but is playing there. Chelsea spent 35m on real DM.

Chelsea also have one of the best keepers in the world. Our keeper isn't even in the top 10 of the PL.

Suarez was not world class when we signed him, he became one when he left us, can you envision us signing someone like him or Sanchez now (as in tried and tested world class player, not potential world class players who might take a while to fulfill their potential)

And I will ask the question again when have we ever done this in our history? Kenny is probably the one who comes closest and even then he was signed from Celtic not Real Madrid.

These seasons where one side establishes a lead, then slowly increases its lead, and then becomes champions with a few weeks to spare - I was going to say they're the worst seasons, but it occurs to me that actually most of our title wins probably looked like that.  They're definitely the least memorable seasons though (Leicester notwithstanding).
