600 at the very least.
Barca should start organizing friendlies with semi-pro teams like some Italian and German teams do during their season preparations. That way, Messi can score 10-20 goals a game and catch up Pele's BS 1000 goal statistics ;D

Rayo are a shite team coached by a guy who loves berseker approach against top teams despite not having the quality to compete. This game doesn't prove anything at all.

Cracker from 25yds by Neymar. Nice run to ride the tackle in the first place but then a beautiful hit into the top corner from distance. Must suck to face Barcelona, if it's not Messi then Neymar who'll do you.

I rarely do. In fact the main reason behind my post is that I hate that Paco Jemez gets praised in Spain for having that mentality. If you lose by a big margin the most normal thing is receiving criticizement, not plaudits.

All things considered, you can be awful, play awful and get relegated. Or you can play nice football, be a decent team on the pitch and get relegated. I know which I prefer more.

I don't know if you watch some of the bottom teams of English Premier League. They are painfully shit. No light at the end of the tunnel. Here, I think with better players, Paco Jemez could succeed with his footballing ideas.

Crazy.
What initially looked like a flare, appears something more sinister.
Stadium empties as crowd rushes out with their faces covered in the Villareal-Celta game.

Game cancelled.
Wonder if they will play the remaining 3 minutes, or restart the game.
Very hard on Celta if replayed as they were 1-0 up, away from home.
Would also encourage other hooligans to do such things if their team are losing.

Teams back out in front of an empty stadium.
No news on any resumption though.
Apparently, the Celta players and goalie are feeling dizzy and disorientated (the bomb/cannister was thrown on the edge of their box).

Glad Celta Vigo got the win, I think it woulda been a disgrace had Villareal got a result out of that. I am of course assuming it was a Villareal supporter who threw it on, given it came from one of their ends.

Tello is very average (their version of Downing if even that good).  I hope we have no intention of buying him this summer.  I reckon Barca are going to beat City mid-week after watching them tonight.  Messi is not quite back to his incredible best yet (even though he managed to score 2 today) but Barca are still frighteningly good.

It's hard to imagine, from my own experiences, a set of supporters less threatening than Villarreal. Have they even got any hooligans?

Also, in Spain, there is no special advantage to be gained from an abandonment, whatever the reason for it, as the game just gets re-started from when it was suspended - the time and score stands.

I was at the game and I was sitting about 10 metres from the exit stairs from which the canister was thrown. I don't have any idea who it was as they were already down the stairs when they threw it but the steward who mans that exit is likely going to have a very sweaty few days. That part of the stadium though feels more like a town hall meeting than a football stadium, it's full of grandparents, families and kids and I'd be astonished if it was a regular who threw it. The running theory here at the moment is that it was a fan of Castellon CD who did it. Castellon is the biggest city in the region, they're 3 leagues lower and can't handle the idea of an upstart little town being en the Liga when they're not. Maybe, maybe not.

Villarreal played pretty well i thought, had a legit goal ruled out for offside and missed having both Cani and Uche out injured. Vigo played some nice football too so I reckon a draw would have been a fair result.
