Anyone use Paddy Power? Used their store to place an accumulator. All came in bar one where a tennis player retired. I've read the retirement rules online but they have said I've lost. Fuming.

Been a while since I placed a tennis bet, but I think once it's in the 2nd set, it's settled as a loss if your player retires. If it's in the first set it's a void.

Not 100% but I think that's it.

Who was the retirement, Rune? Seems like a player you'd back in an ACCA :D

Is this out of date?

Or I've read it wrong and it isn't voided ;D

Yeah looks to me that if your pick is winning and the opponent retires before the end of the first set, the selection is void.
If your pick is winning after the end of the first set and the opponent retires, your pick is a winner.
If your pick retires while losing, it's voided regardless of what stage the match is.

Phew not just me then. Online chat person was adamant it's a loss even when I sent the above link. Then said they'd pass it over to traders to check but then couldn't cause I did it in store.

Not sure if the store will be the same

Cheers. Don't think they will pay out on the rest as that'd be £185 I'd have won without the original stake. Best I'm hoping for is the original stake.

Who was the player you backed?

According to the rules I posted, it looks like that leg of your acca should be voided and you should receive payout on the rest.

I'd go back to the shop where you placed it and ask for the rules.

Bonzi at atp Metz. The sod.

Just spoken to someone at Betfair who are the same and they are stating the link I sent (the rules are the same)refers or assumes it's first set retirement even though ii) clearly states it's after conclusion of first set!?

I'll be surprised if I get anything now. Will go store tomorrow for sure.

What the fuck are they on about  :lmao

Honestly wouldn't take what they say for granted. I've genuinely been on live chat with Paddy power reps and they've told me shots saved by the keeper don't count as shots on target, and I'm aware of another case when they've told someone that goals scored in injury time don't count towards total goals markets  ;D

Will check tomorrow. Can see it being a long drawn out thing when it shouldn't be. I'll expect shop to say same also and that it's a loss.

at the weekend it was just for a goal in the city united game

last night i misread it, i thought it was evens if Liverpool score, turns out it was over 1 goal though it came in

Salah to have 1 shot on target v Arsenal is the latest.

That's the least certain one they've done in a while. Shame they aren't like Sky as their boosts can be done every 24 hours.

Don’t often do football bets these days but have done us to win the league at 25/1. Is going to be a funny season, long way to go. Not sure how big we were before beating City but 25/1 seems worth a go

They've also got Mitrovic at 6/1 to score a header tonight. Always worth a few quid that.

Genuinely think these companies are out to rinse now and not even trying to hide it.

Done a Sky Bet build a bet for the Spurs Newcastle game.

Kane to score in 90mins
Almiron to score in 90mins
Son 1 shot on target
Wilson 1 shot on target
Guimaraes 1 shot on target
30+ booking points

They give me 70/1 for that, so imagine my delight when everything came in by 55 minutes except Guimaraes not having a shot on target. Looked at the cash out, £44 on a £710 payout.  :o :o :o
Kept going down and down as the half went on until the man himself was taken off about 86 minutes in. Felt like crying. We were convinced the cash out would have been over £100.

Cash out was designed for 1 reason and 1 reason only, and that was to increase the bookie profits. They should take it away, but they won't as it makes them so much money.

Sky or PP/Betfair are the likliest for those. I haven't looked as lost yet another PP account last week and can't be arsed getting a new one. Haven't looked at anything on Sky either as I've very little interest in this sham of a tournament.
