New potential songs
« on: April 10, 2017, 10:14:56 pm »
I want to get as many people as possible coming up with new songs as I believe that we as a fan base have become lazy, this is shown by the fact that Firmino's, Lallana's and Origi's chant are all the same tune.

I want to kick it off with a chant for Firmino

There She goes by the La's tune:
Firmino, Firmino again
Beating the defence
And he's got skills for days
And he's running through again-ain-ain

Feel free to leave any chant ideas, I for one want to bring back the anfield roar.

Mane Changes Everything to the tune of Cyndi Lauper's "Money Changes Everything".

1. Because you can't have too many Mane/money puns
2. Because I'm not ashamed of listening to Cyndi Lauper

If Virgil signs from "Kohoutek" by R.E.M. Listen from 0:50 onwards  :wave

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GglPOxQ_Sik

We stood in the boardroom
We stood on the Kop
We fooled around in Blackpool
But we never taaaaaaaalked

(same verse)

Jürgen built a bridge
The Saints tore it down
Virgil swam across the water
Now he's always aroooooound

 ;D

I think that one's too complicated for many but when knowing that song it's absolutely spot on!

With apologies to the late, great Allan Sherman

Hello, Jurgen. This is Keita.
Put a bid in. Call me later.
Hundred million, have a rummage.
Sell Coutinho and that lazy Daniel Sturridge.

You won’t need them, have some courage.
I’ve already packed my luggage.
Amadou’s tweeting, aren’t you trying?
And if Red Bull gives you wings, why’m I not flying?

I’ve got bollocks the size of melons.
In the winter I wear nylons.
On the metrics I’m the master
Could you please make sure the transfer goes much faster.

Spoke to Ragnick what a fella.
He has locked me in his cellar.
Says he’ll keep me here forever.
I’d unpick the lock but I’m not very clever.

Take me home to Anfield, Jurgen.
Never walk alone, O, Jurgen.
Don’t leave me in Leipzig.
If you did I’ll have to go to Real Madrid.

Hello Jurgen, this is Keita.
Changed my mind, don’t call me later.
Just been listening to Peter Frampton.
Think next season I’ll be playing at Southampton.

I want to know what Love is by Foreigner.  Song for Ryan Kent.

ahem,

I want to know who Kent is,  I think Klopp should show me.

I've heard he's from Oldham, but I can forgive him.

He's got a bad wool hair cut, but such a nice smile.

So please come on now Kloppo, pre season's been such a good trial.

(Then all bounce shaking fists in the air and chant), Ryan!, Ryan!, Ryan!.
With me 3 star jumper half way up me back!

Heard a catchy song a few times at Armagh matches this summer, KC & The Sunshine Band - Give It Up :  "nananananana Jamie Jamie Clarke, Jamie Clarke, Jam-ie Jam-ie Claaaarke"

Could be re-worked to Jurgen, Jurgen Klopp or Emre, Emre Can?? someone with 3 syllables anyway..

Sadio Mane is so workable into so many tracks it could actually be a megamix jive bunny style .

Starts off Abba style to Money

Mane, Mane, Mane.
His hair is funny
He's from Senegal

The O'jays for the love of money

All about the Mane. Mane!

Then Neil Diamond forever in Blue Jeans

Oh Mane SCORES,
against (team we are playing here) and the kop  adores.
And as he runs away with glee, he's so happy, forever in red jeans!

We to live to watch
The men in red, on any given day
The weekend comes
And so we walk, through the Shankly gates
Our heads held high, in wind and rain
Through victory and defeat
We live our lives, in a Kopites dream

This is probably going to get slaughtered, but here we go ;D

Attempt at an Emre Can song. To the sound of the infamous Eurovision song Dschingis Kahn (1979): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2bvPzvFlP8

Still he's pacing up and down at Anfield like Steve McMahon
A German-Turkish engineering masterpiece, Emre Can
In Frankfurt and in Munich he learned to defend
At Leverkusen dictated the play as he tend
When he plays, Kop starts to shake the ground.

Em-Em-Emre Can
High-flying, hard-tackling, ball-playing, volley-scoring
Em-Em-Emre Can
Long-passing, midfield-conquering, Toffee-tackling, Kop is roaring
When they see him coming, he proves that he's tough
Tackling and goal scoring, he can't get enough
And he makes us bouncing up and down

Em-Em-Emre Can
High-flying, hard-tackling, ball-playing, volley-scoring
Em-Em-Emre Can
Long-passing, midfield-conquering, Toffee-tackling, Kop is roaring
When they see him coming, he proves that he's tough
Tackling and goal scoring, he can't get enough
At Vicarage they're yet to make a sound

On arrival, he was quite a mystery like old Biscan
And then he played and proved he's f*ckin' quality, Emre Can
He can score a screamer all from 30 yards
His tackling leaving players all like broken shards
And his passing stuns entire grounds.

Em-Em-Emre Can
High-flying, hard-tackling, ball-playing, volley-scoring
Em-Em-Emre Can
Long-passing, midfield-conquering, Toffee-tackling, Kop is roaring
When they see him coming, we know what is next
Passing and goal scoring are both to expect
And he makes us bouncing up and down

Em-Em-Emre Can
High-flying, hard-tackling, ball-playing, volley-scoring
Em-Em-Emre Can
Long-passing, midfield-conquering, Toffee-tackling, Kop is roaring
When they see him coming, we know what is next
Passing and goal scoring are both to expect
At Vicarage they're yet to make a sound

Along with the bouncing Kop
We're marching to Kiev to bring Big Ears back home.

It's only on loan
It's only on lo-an
And in Kiev, we'll bring it back home.

Additional lines to Won it five times? 🤣🤣

The chorus is not original though. Can't remember where I've heard it from.
