Just seen the news that George Sephton has been taken to hospital after collapsing at Anfield.

Is there anymore news about him? He is Mr Anfield!!! Always remember his voice from when I had my season ticket..... he is part of the foundations of Anfield and Liverpool.

He is as much a part of the club as Shanks, Paisley et al.......... always think of him the same as Mr Liverpool and the Badge Man

He's better now and back at home, there's been a conversation in this thread - http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=326300.0. I bet the possibility of missing the game against United helped him out a bit!

Anyone know what song he played the other day. Went something like "street lights" and then "on and on and on" or something. I think.

Not usually the type of music I like but a lot of songs he's played I've now associated with great memories and like  8)

He occasionally has replied in the past. But he ignored me after asking about a song played in Barca. Probably still got a hangover.  ;D

That's the right one. Thank you lads.

Hope he gets kept on next season (Georges contract with the club is on a rolling season to season basis)

His choices for the Barca game were incredible and the YNWA at the end was just the icing on the cake

Before the hysterical introductions of team these days the low key conversations between George and Ken, can't remember his second name, were classic, including "Now over to you George for some interesting half time scores." "Thanks Ken". Same very week, much like 'Operation Anfield Exercise'!

George is ace, always has been.

Random question though, that divvy Dan Roach lists himself on Twitter as ‘DJ and MC’ for Liverpool FC, so what exactly does he do?

Peter. And thankfully he's calmed down of late which is good as he seems a good bloke and got a job we'd all love. (He got a bit carried away with announcing Luis Suarez back in 2014).

I can't say anything more about George. To me - he is the club. Not sure I can say higher than that. He literally is 'the voice of Anfield'.

I heard him on Radio4 the other week - said he hoped to carry on for many years to come. I hope so to.

For those that are not aware or in on it George often goes with a theme or reference - Journey - Don't stop Believing - which is the one you're on about (not sure how you don't know that but OK!) and Cher - Believe.

He does it often - plays some song that will reference an event in the week.

It's subtle. Like him. And why he's fondly thought of by many.

And those that go once a year and want a razzmatazz bloke must wonder why we haven't got one. Well we don't want one. We want what we've always had.

Met George at Wembley when we beat those across the park in the semi-final.

One of the moments of the season, in a season of seasons. It just worked.

You can keep your 100 mile an hour Jeremy Kyle style announcers, and the dead eyed Man City Home Counties androids with hair putty. George is the voice of Anfield. Long may he reign.

Wonder how much we could sell George Sephton to PSG for? We'll have to get him on a French Language course first though.
