Always a bit weird that. If the two best goals of the season were scored in the same game (or month) they should be in the shortlist.

In that case, I can't believe Jordan Ayew vs. West Ham didn't win Goal of the Month for whichever month is was scored in. Might be January, in which case it lost to Jahanbakhsh which is a nice goal, but I've seen much better bicycle kicks.

Thought the Fabinho goal from this game might be in there. Thought the second Salah goal should have been nominated ahead of Salah's Newcastle goal

No shuffle but nice little showing of Miss Liverbird with her striped scarf.

In other news, am I the only one who's worried about Arsenal? Arteta seems like he knows what he's doing and there's something about the way they celebrated that Gabriel goal... Like there's a real togetherness and team spirit in the squad.

Can I just say, Aubameyang has the most teeth I've ever seen in a person's mouth.

Oh, and Fulham are probably going down. "We're gonna lose more than we win," says the manager. Nice vote of confidence for your players, mate.

That was true of everyone in the bottom half last season, so it isn't quite as bad as it sounds initially.

I'd be a little bit worried if our aim was 4th, but there is no chance in hell that Arsenal are good enough or ready to compete for the title. As for the togetherness, two of their players nearly came to blows in the warm up!

the only ones I've seen that have doubted it were Carragher and Hasselbank.  I mean the shot was  heading towards the top corner and it hit the guy on an outstretched arm. When you look at some of the ridiculous penalties that Utd got last season that were defended by the pundits, it's galling to hear some say that the handball was not a penalty

he was one of the pundits on the BBC website who said they would win it. More said that we would though, all backed either us or City besides Chris Waddle who backed Man Utd :lmao

But they had more possession so that was obviously done in the interests of fairness and us having umpteen unshown shots was purely accidental on their part.  ::)

I thought it did? Maybe it was the post match analysis on Sky I seen it, but it was definitely after the game as I thought then there was more of a shout for that one being allowed than the nonsense Carra was spouting about the first penalty.

They didn’t show the first half one when Sadio lobbed it in from 30 yards after the keeper committed himself outside the area

Something I didn't know until recently was that possession is measured by number of passes as opposed to time spent on the ball. Not that it makes a huge difference, Leeds did keep the ball well and pass it around a lot but it was mainly within 30 yards of their goal so it's not really an indication of how the match went. First half we created a lot of chances, heck Firmino went through before the penalty, but the second half in particular we were on top a lot more.
