Compeed blister plasters.
I live beside Belfast Lough and I see this regularly. No matter how many times I see it I always stop for a minute to just take it in. Annoying that there's a dual carriageway separating my house and the Lough, as the street lights take away from it somewhat. Still an amazing sight seeing the moonlight on the water.
Seeing he sunrise is amazing! It’s not often I see it nowadays with work. But when I do o always take time out and just stare in bewilderment. Also a full moon over the sea is an extraordinary thing. Blessed to see that a lot where I am at the minute. It’s the rflection off the sea and astounding how much light the moon reflects
Paying off credit cards that have been a huge burden on my life, good riddance.
You have had it way worse than I ever did.I was able to pursue my rights as soon as my ex split and was lucky enough to prove that she was prepared to lie under oath by my attorney. I have a predictable week on week off custody schedule which ultimately I think is fair. My ex is not a bad parent but she certainly is not a better parent just because she is a woman. It is great that you have gotten to be able to enforce your rights while she is still young. Even though you will never get the lost time back, you still have plenty of years ahead. My heart bleeds for those perfectly fantastic dads who never got to have fair time with their kids because of ignorant court systems who seem to think 'Mum knows best' which I just think is total bollox. Mum and Dad are perfectly capable of being great parents in their own right.EDIT : not the right thread for this rant at all, but just like Kesey, once triggered it just floods out.
Delivered a lecture yesterday to university of toronto postgraduate students in philosophy, got a really good turnout and it went really well
I admire anyone who can stand up before a crowd like that, well done.
It wasn't easy to be fair, I don't have a lot of practice, probably spoke way too fast and kept getting a dry mouth. But thankfully I overprepare for everything so the content of the lecture itself carried me through my poor performance
The smell of freshly brewed coffeeA cold, crisp beer on a hot dayThat feeling when you wake up on a weekend/off day knowing you can just roll over and go back to sleepWhen my daughter ran to greet me as I got back from work shouting 'daddy' for the first time - and every time since for that matter!Walking out of work on a Friday morning after a night shift knowing I've got the whole weekend in front of me as people are trudging in in the opposite direction. The crackling noise of a log fire
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
Shitting at work
Yeah, but not when your the front end of a pantomime horse!
Human centipede springs to mind
If your moral compass is Piers Moron then I ask you to think whether someone who oversaw illegal phone hacking and published fake pictures depicting War Crimes is an appropriate person to look up to. In fact, I'd suggest you're a bit of a c*nt.
What's that then?
Hope you aren't eating your teahttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt1467304/
Spotting a frozen half leg of lamb in the freezer i brought a couple of weeks ago, but forgot about, so i'll leave it to thaw at room temperature overnight & do a roast dinner tomorrow.
A fabulous first day open for our new venture. Some great reviews from our clients and the cash register "kerchinging" all day [emoji16]
That’s boss! What’s the venture if you don’t mind me asking?
I've got a feeling that Origi is the real deal, from a couple of games I watched but mainly his interviews there seems to be something about him.
Without a mobile phone all week (waiting on it to get fixed, all my own fault), so ended up finishing a book in 4 days. Usually get distracted but without the phone my productivity went up a bunch.
It’s so satisfying to finish a book.
I love it when you finish a book and it leaves a few of unanswered questions.Like... "Should I really have used red to colour her cape? Or should I have used green?""Why do my crayons snap when I press too hard?" "Why is 'colour by numbers' so difficult?"
Watching a squirrel coming back and forth into our garden to collect the nuts I've left out for the birds.
Thriving bastard!Bet the birds are unhappy.
I’ve got a bird feeder on my porch, it’s designed to fool squirrels, it’s the best squirrel feeder I’ve ever seen.
