I live beside Belfast Lough and I see this regularly. No matter how many times I see it I always stop for a minute to just take it in. Annoying that there's a dual carriageway separating my house and the Lough, as the street lights take away from it somewhat. Still an amazing sight seeing the moonlight on the water.

Yes mate. If I knew how to upload pictures I’d post one up from the other night! I was sitting with friends overlooking the local beach having a glass of red wine. It was amazing!

Seeing he sunrise is amazing! It’s not often I see it nowadays with work. But when I do o always take time out and just stare in bewilderment. Also a full moon over the sea is an extraordinary thing. Blessed to see that a lot where I am at the minute. It’s the rflection off the sea and astounding how much light the moon reflects

Agreed, i live just over a mile from the beach in Moreton, Wirral, & going there can see spectacular sunrises especially on a warm clear morning, i can also see the buildings of Liverpool City Centre from my local beach which can be more spectacular at sunrise on a clear day.

Paying off credit cards that have been a huge burden on my life, good riddance.

Once you can get over the fact that you have this large amount of money you're going to pay your cards off with instead of buying something nice, your life gets a lot easier. You're kind of aware of card debt but never reaaaaaaaaaaally bothers you as you can make the monthly repayments. But if you kinda switch off and pay them off before you think about having the cash spare it's not so bad in the short term and such a benefit long term

Well done I say :)

You have had it way worse than I ever did.

I was able to pursue my rights as soon as my ex split and was lucky enough to prove that she was prepared to lie under oath by my attorney. I have a predictable week on week off custody schedule which ultimately I think is fair. My ex is not a bad parent but she certainly is not a better parent just because she is a woman.

It is great that you have gotten to be able to enforce your rights while she is still young. Even though you will never get the lost time back, you still have plenty of years ahead.

My heart bleeds for those perfectly fantastic dads who never got to have fair time with their kids because of ignorant court systems who seem to think 'Mum knows best' which I just think is total bollox. Mum and Dad are perfectly capable of being great parents in their own right.

EDIT : not the right thread for this rant at all, but just like Kesey, once triggered it just floods out.

Only just seen this. The percentage of male suicides from men who have been in our position is staggering. It can destroy a man but we got through it mate.   :wave

It wasn't easy to be fair, I don't have a lot of practice, probably spoke way too fast and kept getting a dry mouth. But thankfully I overprepare for everything so the content of the lecture itself carried me through my poor performance :D

The smell of freshly brewed coffee

A cold, crisp beer on a hot day

That feeling when you wake up on a weekend/off day knowing you can just roll over and go back to sleep

When my daughter ran to greet me as I got back from work shouting 'daddy' for the first time - and every time since for that matter!

Walking out of work on a Friday morning after a night shift knowing I've got the whole weekend in front of me as people are trudging in in the opposite direction.

The crackling noise of a log fire

If your moral compass is Piers Moron then I ask you to think whether someone who oversaw illegal phone hacking and published fake pictures depicting War Crimes is an appropriate person to look up to. In fact, I'd suggest you're a bit of a c*nt.

I love it when you finish a book and it leaves a few of unanswered questions.

The magpies looked pissed off. Next doors cat wasn't too impressed with me chasing it as it stalked the squirrel either.
