So this is how we do matches now? Prof runs the maths, and Betty paints all over them? Love it

There will be 5 minutes of added time.

Drinks Sangria is visibly irate from the bench

In the other dugout, Draex is trying to gee up the crowd as he throws men forward in a last ditch attempt to turn this game around

Krol picks up the ball on the left and lays it off (91min)

Kroos picks out Matthews who has found some space on the right...

Spoiler

but Pearce closes him down instantly and they're forced to retreat (92 min)
[close]

Drinks Sangria's team are sitting incredibly deep. Much to his annoyance as he shows his disapproval from the bench (92 min)

Dalglish feeds the ball to Rivellino who has thrown himself to ground acrobatically (93 min)

he wants a penalty, but the referee is having none of it and waves away the rather lacklustre protests

Suurbier picks up the ball on the right (94 min)

it comes to Seedorf who is searching for a way through this packed defence (94 min)

he dinks the ball over to Rivellino who suddenly pulls away from his marker with a darting run...

Neuer is too good again, but the ball ricochets out to Kroos...

Fabinho is there in a flash and wins the ball back (95 min)

That might be the last kick of the game... (95 min)

CONGRATULATIONS DRINKS SANGRIA   :champ

I'm sure the celebrations will continue long into the night...

Is that your first draft win? If so then Samie will show you around the members only room. Unlucky Draex, thought you were destined to win it when you put Dalglish and Rush together, but you faced a formidable opponent

Thanks to Prof for running the simulation and allowing me to spice it up in here  :)

Good game good game. Great draft all round and a fair way to separate it after 20 votes couldn’t. I can’t recall a draft with so little between all the teams.

This is my second draft win, I won one over a year back where I can’t remember the exact outline but I ended up with essentially an all-time LFC XI and realistically won due to obvious biases towards the Liverpool players.

No hilarious howlers, no massive players missed and some decent research needed. I like the removal of the usual suspects very much, made the first few rounds interesting as opposed to seeing the same 20 players.

To commemorate my victory, in honour of Jurgen, I am now going to dye my hair peroxide blonde, as I have a new understanding and appreciation of the term. Cheers Betty for all the hard work.

Epic and fitting end to a great draft. Congratulations Sangria!

Thanks Betts and Prof for making an epic final. Hopefully not the last one, even if Betts says it a one-off. We’ll force him into it, like we usually do. ;D
