It's unfair and inappropriate to compare his energy levels and fitness the the past greats because conditioning is different now, but fucking hell he's also up there with ability. He's an awesome footballer.

It's not coincedence though is it?

I mean, you most definitely need to have the ability which both Robbo and TAA clearly do.

But there's a lot of players who have the ability, but just don't piece it together.

Huge credit to Klopp and the coaches. They take this ability and make it a reality for these players.

Both are in the perfect environment with the perfect coaching and support to be the absolute best they can be.

Compare the reaction at the goal to the reaction when we scored at OT. The increased urgency caused by a “get the ball back and lets go again” celebration is underrated in football. I enjoy robertson goals more than anybody elses

The best left back I've see play for us is Alan Kennedy, the best right back, Phil Neal.

These two are up there with them. We are so lucky to have them both in the team at the same time and they'll be a partnership for many years to come and they cost £8m between them.

Ha. I go back to Lawler and Byrne, Lawler being one of the first, if not the first, attacking full back. Debut at 19, 61 goals, 549 games.

When we've had full backs who support the attack we've had winning teams. The current two could end up the best pair ever.

Hardly scores goals and gets one with a few minutes left. He grabs the ball from the net and runs back to the half way line when most players would of been celebrating with the crowd.

I love that there was no question of anyone else overdoing the celebrations either, only two players went to him for a quick high five I think, Henderson and Lallana maybe, everyone straight back into position

Unlike today’s Everton game - they spent a minute celebrating the equalizer when there was still 5 mins of time left to get a winner.

It was Robbo in a nutshell; perpetual motion. From starting his run towards the back post to being back ready for kick-off he barely broke his stride, just arched it around the crestfallen Villa defenders.

That we got Robbo and apparently had offers turned down for Chilwell - at the time Leicester's reserve left-back but now arguably England's first choice left-back - is a big tick for our recruitment team. I remember at the time being a bit annoyed that we'd missed out on Kolasinac on a free and instead spent £8m on the Hull left-back...

I love how both fullbacks seem to push the other to greater heights. Trent's amazing rightback playmaking inspires Robertson's all-conquering flank play and vice versa.
