Coffee had, team sheets out. Both Moreno and TAA rested, Salah on the bench and Sturridge starts. I'm not 100% sure of the lineup but maybe 2 upfront or Firmino for Salah with Daniel in the middle?

Should be interesting nonetheless!

Our midfield doesn't fill me with confidence and the less said about the defense the better.

2 Good passing on the edge of the box by Mane to Gini, but the 1-2 is under hit back to him, Henderson whips in a cross but straight at the keeper.

4 Sturridge picks up the ball in midfield driving run, plays it to Milner, passes it off to Robertson who puts in a nice cross, but no-one on the end of it. Liverpool get a free kick out wide.

5 Milner whips it in deep, but Palace clear and Liverpool build again through the midfield. We're knocking it about well but right now no end product

10 Edge of the box with some neat play, Milner gets behind the defense played in by Sturridge, gets the shot off but straight at the keeper and an easy save. Milner should maybe have done better.

At the other end Robertson gives a cheap throw in but Liverpool deal with it and get a goal kick.

13 Long ball forward for Sturridge but he can't take it down and Palace clear back to Liverpool, who try to create something on the edge of the box , Gini earns a foul on the edge of the box, Liverpool take it quickly and Robertson fires in a great cross, Matip is up with the goal gaping!!!


And misses horribly.

15' - Sturridge charges up the middle of the field but is brought down just past the circle. Puncheon is presented with a yellow card.

16' - Sturridge works the ball into the box, gets it to Mane who goes down - Anfield bays but it's not a pen.

Milner really needs to reign himself in a bit.

17' - Mane in the box again but overhits and the goalkeeper gathers. At the other end, Milner leaves a leg in and Benteke goes over. Dangerous FK

18' - FK straight into the wall. Scrappy seconds are negotiated and Mane is stopped on the break. Frenetic at the moment.

20' - lovely attempt at a 1-2 between Sturrdge and Milner but it doesn't come off. Time has flown by.

22' - We switch off for a split second and Benteke found himself free with the ball on the edge of the box. Fortunately he doesn't know what to do with it and we close down and clear the ball.

23' - Sturridge and Mane are looking lively. As I type that Mane sends a ball too far behind Robertson.

Our passing in the middle has left a lot to be desired honestly. We really need to be a lot crisper and get the head up more.

24' - Working the ball around the back four. Klavan on to Gini but it looks a touch pedestrian at the moment. Palace happy to sit back. Gomez receives and sends a ball into the box that is headed out easily.

Get the ball back and this time Mane and Milner trying to combine to get the ball through to Sturridge.

26' - Ball passed into acres of space left by Gomez but Van Aanholdt is unable to capitalise.

Up the other end Studge find himself with a bit of space 40 yards out and fires off a rocket that very nearly lands on Mars

28' - Benteke goes in hard on Klavan but escapes being given a card. Replay shows that he hit Klavan with his arm - yellow would have been appropriate.
