We were in U1 and agree with the above.

Surrounded by non locals, most of the ones in front looked like they'd never been to a game before and two were probably united fans - our row had a fair few irish lads in who got involved.

Can anyone see the club binning this off - too much hassle and obviously a load are being touted?

Or does the fact that they can say in the BBCs price of football survey that they have tickets for £9 outweigh the touting issue?

While the view is blocked, they'll keep them as soon as it is addressed I'm sure they'll say 'we've provided these tickets in good faith and people have abused it'.

I think one turnstile and you have to be in the ground half an hour before kick off to do an ID check on entry. If you don't like the terms, you don't have to fucking buy them.

I think a lot who seem to get tickets every week are students from Uni of Liv as they’d be classed as ‘locals’ in student digs and are a lot more computer savvy than the average person.

It’s a great scheme for people who struggle in the main Members sales. I’m not sure how it can be policed via a turnstile as a lot of people just turn up at kick off or shortly after. I think they should bring in some loyalty from next season that if you’ve been to a minimum of say 5-8 games you’re able to enter the sales.

Definitely agree with this, only managed to get tickets for 2 local sales this season but both we were sat around loads of uni students I.e. they stand out a mile!!

No way to get around it, these tickets are being bought by anyone and everyone (probably fans of other clubs) as they’re so cheap!!!!

Gonna try again tomorrow but really don’t know what to do as I’ve had no good waiting times in the local or members sales of late...I’ve tried in Safari, chrome and ME, different times on different devices.
This morning I was ‘less than an hour’.

Not used the local sale this season because I am lucky enough to be in the 19 club and went for the bulk sales rather than chancing the local sales.  Was in U1 or U9 about 10 times last season and if last season is the same as this season it is piss easy to pick out the tourists.   Any one of us could spot 20 or 30 obviously touted seats each game.  For whatever reason the club can’t be arsed sorting the problem.

You can't bring loyalty into local general sales unfortunately. I know everyone is frustrated myself included. From the first two seasons of the general sales, I only missed one game in all competitions in the first season and then two in the second season (iirc). I've missed 6 so far. If you bring in loyalty it then creates a closed shop. I'm just glad we have an option of very cheap tickets available.

What they need to do is stop allowing local people to continue registering once the season has started.

Advise in the sales terms that ID checks will be done on everybody at one particular turnstile, and that it is suggested you turn up at least an hour before kick-off.

This shouldn't really be a problem for anyone, as they will be saving £44 on a ticket.

Exactly. I think showing up early should be part of the deal, you're saving loads, you can get in and have a beer or whatever - get some atmosphere going!

I agree, Photo ID or a photo on a local members card should be the least the club should do. Hopefully with it being Boxing Day there’ll actually be just locals in these seats

I expect loads more members tickets to be returned for this one too. Was more than willing to pay full price but I’ll stick to the £9 ones

Mine never refreshes at 8:15 (using Chrome or firefox), it always refreshes at about 8:17.
