yes a quiet creeping back in to form, even with a  peaky blinders kind of attack on him.

He looked quality when he came on even now he can still lead the press. I just hope he has some luck with the injuries as he could be a vital player for us.

He gets the pressing, doesn't he? Also looked much tidier on the ball today than he's done for a while. Happy days. :)

Looked really sharp and lively when he came on. Silky on the ball, smart ball over the top for Mo's third and some nice bits of pressing. Made up for him.

Fantastic cameo. All that I loved about Lallana (except all that blood) was there in those few minutes of display. Technique, touch, control & combination play. He's so lovely on the ball.

Great when he came on

As expected aswell.

His criticism is the strangest thing I’ve wcer known on RAWK. He was our best player few seasons back, still the same bloke and would be more than happy for him to be in the team when fully fit

Klopp loves him he's praised him numerous times last year even though he had the season he did, it's clear that he's going to give him every chance to make a contribution here, people are hell bent on us moving him on.

Absolutely. We dont have another player like him in the squad so him looking much sharper was great to see and opens up many possibilities for us.

The main thing is he can get consistent training sessions and be available for games.

I have always been a big Lallana fan from his early soton days. Thought he was our best player a few seasons back and a perfect example of a Klopp player. This last time he was injured a certain part of the fan base wrote him off saying his finished or whatever. Think it started on Twitter always thought it was silly not like it was Torres after that Euros injury. Where the player was a shell of their selves. Lallana takes a while to find his stride but he is a top quality technician that must be respected.

Very true. A Lallana at something close to his best is such a useful option to have, and probably the best option we could have in certain types of games. He's not one who crumbles when pressed, for example.
He is the cat who walks by himself, and all roads are alike to him.

I agree with sentiments in here. An in-form Lallana in the squad available to be deployed / rotated in midfield and giving top quality performances would be a huge asset this season.

He’s injured with a ‘minor issue’. Unsurprisingly.

To be honest, he was barely playing anyway. Obviously we want as many players fit as possible but if it gives an extra game to someone like Keita or Shaqiri then it is what it is

As you say its unsurprising

Is Lallana stuck in a catch-22? He needs enough games to get match fit and thus less injury prone, but we have improved sufficiently that we cannot justify giving him that time to get back. I don't think he is shot, but I am questioning whether we can offer him the time he needs to get back to the level he needs to be at to justify him getting game time. For the tight situation we would have called on him in previous seasons, Shaqiri is the new go to guy.

Would it be in our interests to loan him and let him get some serious game time, so we get back the player of previous seasons?

Think he'll go in the summer.

He's a good player, the injuries have been costly though and he's gotten lost in the shuffle - with Shaqiri and Keita now in the mix and Oxlade-Chamberlain coming back, I think Lallana has been left behind and could do with a fresh start elsewhere.

Hopefully we can get him fit just in case we need him. I don’t think we will need him tho if everyone stays fit now after going out of the FA Cup.

I do think he’s finished as a top level player and he will he moved on in the summer.

The massive contract he signed a while back could be a bit of a stumbling block.

He'll probably get a loan move if that proves to be the case.

Think his situation is very similar to Clyne, he just needs to go and play football somewhere given he's been out for so long.
