We got pregnant almost immediately after Mrs Corkboy came off birth control. Miscarriage after 12 weeks, which was kinda mean, as we’d told everyone. Got pregnant pretty much straight away after that and he’s now 19. Unfortunately Mrs got some post partum infection and the gene machine gave us no more.

There’s no normal, OP. Keep trying, keep having fun. I mean, technically, me and the Mrs are still trying.

Oh, and I too have done the warm spunk run. Good times.

Just want to say, as the person who created this thread, Im grateful for all the responses.

It was supposed to be a thread for all to share and air any frustrations and thoughts if going through similar, but the personal stories some have posted have kept me feeling positive.

Its coming up to Christmas and last year we said our aim was to be pregnant by this one. It's a bit of a pants feeling as all the Christmas shit is out everywhere super early this year! That doesn't bother me as I love the season and everyone's had a shit year, but it has affected us both a little.

Most of my mates have kids now. I don't want to say to my wife how shit I'm feeling about it all as she is no doubt feeling a load worse and don't want to add more to her plate.

Anyway.. She's ovulating so I'm going to milk it this weekend.

Pun intended.

Glad to hear you positive outcome after such a cruel start.

The warm spunk run though, that tickled me!

Are you sure you even want them???? Today, twin one kicks platform off swings (I suppose it was 10 years old and rotted) twin two pushes wardrobe door wrong way, 4 hinges broke.  :no  ::)  ;D

Good luck mate

Wishing you the very best of luck.
My wife and I underwent a similar journey.

A couple of years of natural trying, then seeing a fertility specialist (we were both pronounced fine but it just wasn't happening and we went through two rounds of IVF which was very stressful) - then, after a long searching discussion we realised that while we both wanted to be parents, neither of us were particularly hung up about passing our genetic material along, so decided to build our family via adoption.

Boy was that process a whole other level of stress,  :) and here we are, 24 years later with 4 amazing kids adopted at birth.

;D to this day my wife says she's eternally grateful that she was spared the experience of actual pregnancy and childbirth

Cheers mate. Fingers crossed. Wonder how many are successful after first or second round of treatment.

Mrs wants to go through the whole pregnancy process. It has crossed our minds adoption and has never been ruled out.

Well today's the day. Off to the special place to offer up my belongings and see if my swimmers need armbands.

First time for me, I'm frightened of what state I'll find the room I'm 'using'..

We have our next appointment mid Jan with clinic. Timeline of what will be happening will be reviewed then.

Thanks mate. Results today... Low motility. 35%....shoukd be above 40%. Also 19% progressive which I don't think is good.

Not spoken to the doctor about it all yet. I checked my NHS app and they were on there!!!!

So looks like we have a road to travel unfortunately.

Hopefully your IVF appointment in January is a positive one mate.

Fertility appointment for use next week. The first one after trying for about 2 years, no luck and result of low motility.

Funnily enough really looking forward to the appointment. Its the next step when we thought we might have to wait a lot longer.

I've even given up the bloody cigs and cut out any mid week alcohol I was having before. Got to give the guys a chance.

Fingers crossed for a clear picture and path for what lies ahead.

@Fabulous_aurelio @The G in Gerrard Hope you're both doing well lads. I've been having quite a lot of my own stress with this* so think this thread was a really good idea - and I've been wishing you both the best!

Our fertility tests and scans have been fine so far - and it's still quite early (having only started trying in October) - but the stress of not getting pregnant, having friends who got pregnant quite quickly (best friend in the first month of trying), having a younger brother and sister with kids of their own, and my own struggles (I've had anxiety - OCD - since a very young age) - have made it all feel quite overwhelming. To the point where I've become quite fatalistic about it all (that it's not going to happen for us, etc).

Anyway, that's my venting done lol - thanks again for the thread @Fabulous_aurelio. It's good to have; to feel less alone.

Glad you've found the thread of use, as have I!

You're early days mate and it's fantastic that all your tests have come through clear. Stress and anxiety will play a massive part in it, and the longer it goes on the more stressful it gets so its a viscious circle. As I've been told many times, just got to try and have fun with it, not over think it. But I do get that that is difficult.

Personally, I've now been tested twice, one post our first fertility appointment and tmit was a bit more conclusive. My guys are an odd shape so looks very likely that we will now be going down the IVF route.

We are waiting for my wife's last tests results to come back before our 2nd appointment at the clinic. That test was one we paid for which isn't on the NHS which depicher how many eggs she has (or something, there was loads of info flying about!)

Its a shitter that it won't happen naturally for us and that the element of surprise is kind of taken away, but i guess that's not important.

The we have started to see it is, we must really want this child to be doing this and hopefully, if we conceive, my son or daughter will know how much they were wanted.

We've finally had our 2nd appointment with the fertility clinic now all our results are in...

My swimmers aren't the best. The Mrs has a small issue but nothing major. As we've been trying for 2 years we are now going to have IVF.

Great news for us.

They are going to arrange an appointment for 6 weeks time. In the meantime we are to fill out some forms and attend an IVF meeting/class thingy.

We get one shit in Yorkshire. Let's hope its triplets. More bang for the ol buck.

Now don't get me wrong as I think this is a great idea for a thread but the original idea of this sub forum was to inspire people to get active...
That's me just not knowing where to plop the thread when I created it. Obviously move it if it needs to be moved to a more suitable subforum.

And in a way, it is inspiring people to get more active...
