Chanterelle mushrooms.

Went to my local farmers market on Saturday morning. They had some chanterelle mushrooms in a massive open cardboard box. Apparently they were harvested no more than two days ago. I bought one pounds weight of mushrooms. I cut up most of them and put them into a mushroom risotto which came out OK.

I also just washed one third and put them into hot butter and put in some salt and fried on a medium heat until they were just crispy. They were beyond incredible and tasted almost like meat but had such a deep flavour.

It was amazing to make brilliant tasting food in my own house.

Happy that running to the papers with shit stories finally has some consequence. It has been a ridiculous but somewhat compelling story to watch. I'm glad decency won out (sort of) and that social media actions finally are starting to have real world consequences.

got my AC fixed yesterday.

not only very timely/needed, but the cost ended up about 1/5 of what I expected.

I went out for beers saturday afternoon.Bartender stuck the charity shield game on again for me,the a/c was cranking,the Guinness was flowing and we had The Stooges,Stranglers,Buzzcocks going on the sound system,beautiful only thing lacking was any women to talk to,oh well.

Do you have a pic mate? I think we've seen it when we've been travelling home on the M56 near the Runcorn/Ellesmere Port bit.

It looked like it was really struggling to get off the floor, it was really low for ages. It was around the time of the gales back in Spring and we were half expecting to see it emergency land on the motorway 😯

I don't. Just happened to randomly look at Flightradar today and it was about to fly over Manchester from Broughton so just had to look up. Used to live in Hamburg so saw it coming in to land quite a lot. Great looking plane.

I live a mile away from Airbus and still find myself staring at it even though I see it multiple times a week.

I drive over the Airbus roundabout to work and go home for my lunch so pass it four times a day, quite often I’m driving over the roundabout and it’s on the runway or taking off/coming into land. It’s a sight to behold when it is literally metres above your head.

It happened today in fact, it was right alongside me as I drove down the road so got to see it form the side and then from behind as it powered off.

Just checked the data from my watch app for the year.

My daily averages are

7.5-8hrs sleep.

I'm relaxed for more than 80% of the day.

Over 8000 steps walking.

Resting heart rate of 55.

I just need to do some proper excercise and I might just get fit again.

Seeing the Finnish prime minister dancing at what looks like a hen do type party with some very close friends. Its great she felt comfortable being herself with some close friends then shitty that some jerk released the video to the media.
