Benfica v Liverpool
Valencia v Atletico Madrid
Hamburg v Standard Liege
Fulham v Wolfsburg

At least we play away first (1st April), with the return on 8th April.

Valencia / A. Madrid V Benfica / Liverpool in the Semi.

I'm livin' in Portugal for 6 months, been in Lisbon for like 20 days before.

Great city, great country (and you know it's not that big, you can use this chance to go around) but for now, I dont know how to buy the tickets for it. Can anyone help me out of it?

Also don't hesitate to send me PM for further info about Portugal and Lisbon.

May have to be a day trip for this one, my mate struggling to get the time off work. Is flying direct to Lisbon the only option? Or a few years back, did people fly to Spain and get a train or something?

For Porto people drove down from Northern Spain, Lisbon is much further south though.  Other options include a cheap flight to Faro and then train.  I am going to be in Sevilla with the missus on our hols for this, I am tempted to check out trains

The best way for Merseyside and around is to take a Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Porto, then to take the train from Porto to Lisboa. Train costs only 18€ and it takes like 3.5 hours to get there.

By the way, I'm a Turkish citizen livin' temporarily in Portugal, do I have to apply with that "european away form" or otherwise, do you guys know what to do in my situation?

Cheers mate. That is what I was thinking, but seems with it being Easter, no "cheap" ryanairs. This is going to be a tough one to get cheap. May have to take the hit.

Cheers to you TLT, yeah, for the extra info; now it costs like minimum 160 euros to get and back from liverpool to porto. With the train cost, doesnt seem like an economic choice. I'm not so into the UK landscape but can you easily get to London? Easyjet's really cool about London-Porto flights.

I've got 4 minutes of my Lunch hour left, so will get cracking on it later. But I doubt will be able to do for less than £200. Which isn't bad, it just isn't ideal.

Booked flights for £120.  Not direct to Lisbon but trains in Portugal seem fairly cheap and hostels are looking about £10 a night.  Not too bad.
Looked again and the flights we booked have gone up already.

Train anyone?
http://www.seat61.com/Portugal.htm#Lisbon

Rail Europe is showing Paris to Lisbon as £481.50.

A Euro rail pass for 5 days travel in 10 days is £250 for over 25's, and doesn't include getting to London or Paris.  I reckon you'd need to be rich and stupid to get the train.

A bit too far? Jesus! It'd take you about two days of solid driving to get there in a coach. Fuck that.

No, SOS won't be running a coach.
It's not too bad if you get the ferry to Bilbao or Santander.

That would really bump up the price though, they are seriously pricey ferries them two.
