Since Hierro's been kind enough to do our dirty work for us here, I've been hitting up these codes regularly now, but every time I redeem any, I only get weapons. No relics, no shields, no class mods. Which kinda throws my balance off a bit.

Also, not a huge fan of the Mechromancer. Her little friend only seems to be useful as acting a decoy. Never kills much of anything.

I've had plenty of mods and relics, but no shields, whilst most of my weapons seem to be pistols, although I pulled out a Splattgun and a Hulk shotty the other week. Weird huh?

As for Gaige - I agree largely, but if you can get a shield on Deathtrap and give him claws and the thunderclap ability/laser, he's pretty good.

I've just finished the main story behind Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage - fantastic stuff. The DLC for BL1 was some of the best around, seemingly they've continued that for BL2. By all accounts, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt is absolutely stupendous.

Just had my first go at Pete the Invincible, solo.

Got my shit pushed in

Considering I have no legendaries for my Level 50 Axton, and only two shock weapons, I thought I did okay to got his shield down to about 20% before getting killed by a swarm of level 64 Spiderants......

More importantly, it looks like the new character in BL2 will be solely melee based:

I've got borderlands 2 sitting there, I played the first and thought it was meh, bl2 sounds a lot better but do I need to clock the weak story in the first to play the second or am I ok to fuck it off? Cos honestly it was a pure chore, just back and forth through barren wasteland with shit enemies.

I you don't find that kind of game fun, I probably wouldn't play it, as there is a lot of repetitive stuff.

BL1 was brilliant, yet BL2 is a huge improvement even on top of that. It's genuinely one of the top 3 games I've ever played, alongside Half Life 2 and COD 4.

i think you only get legendary weapons from boss drops, i've never had one from a chest, you've got approx a 5% chance of them dropping one for you

hence the need to farm
