BBC reporting that Thomas Tuchel wants Firmino to be the #1 target for PSG this summer and of course LFC won't even entertain it by the same report.

Brought up an interesting discussion on twitter in that if they offered Hazard type money would you do it?  And if your response is that Firmino is irreplaceable to Klopp's system at even that amount of money then what does that mean for us in 2-3 years time when Firmino slows down and needs to be replaced?

Hazard money would be laughable, about 250 million?

Basically he’s not for sale.

I should have known better that it would turn into a "that's stupid, we would never do it" type discussion instead of more of a hypothetical discussion as I think everybody agrees that we aren't selling Firmino this summer.

So again keeping in mind this is more of a brain exercise than something real, why would it take a world record fee to sell Firmino?  That's pricing him as if we lost him then he can't be replaced.

Let's try to unsettle some stars from PSG, Barca and R.Madrid. we can compete with them. Let's attack first, I bet my right testicle that many would want to join us. We're hot preferable destination.

I wouldn't mind Kroos, Rakitic, Dembele and someone from PSG.

You can see why PSG would like him though. They have wideforwards who just like ours have the movement and finishing ability of regular strikers in Neymar and especially Mbappe. Firmino would be an excellent number 10/false 9 behind them with his passing and defensive ability.

IMO we need to find someone like Bobby to provide cover in case he's injured/suspended or (Fowler forbid) decides to move on. Timo Werner is probably the obvious choice, although it's debatable whether he would be content to be second choice, so maybe we should be looking for alternatives. From what I've seen of him, Firmino's successor at Hoffenheim, 22 year-old Brazilian striker/right winger Joelinton, might be as good a choice as any. Transfermarkt lists him at 36m +/-, so he would not be unaffordable, and appears to be a similar player, although obviously not the same caliber as our Bobby, who is in a class of his own. :)

One of my favourite songs is our Bobby one, but it just needs tweaking cos a couple of the lines just don't roll off the tongue as easy as they could do.

There’s something that the Kop want you to know,
The best in the world his name is Bobby Firmino, <<<<<< this line is just too long and always gets mashed up in the ground - that's why our songs get sped up.
Our number nine
Give him the ball and he’ll score every time <<<<<<< doesn't have to be grammatically correct, it's a footy song! Take out the 'and' and it flows better
Si senor
Give the ball to Bobby and he will score <<<<<<< could even shorten name to Bob to make it flow better

This will get a lot of airing at the CL final so really hope it will get sung well. It's a great song but it could be a lot better.
Especially the 2nd line - it always gets mashed up...too many words.

Trained normally with the team today  ;D

Quote
Roberto Firmino today trained alongside his teammates following a muscle strain that ruled him out of Liverpool’s last three matches.

The Brazilian took part in the Reds’ first session of their Marbella training camp on Tuesday morning as he works his way back to full fitness.

Firmino has been working with the club’s medical staff on his rehabilitation from the issue and his reintroduction into full team training will be carefully managed under their supervision, with specialised programmes planned over the coming days.
