Went to Basle, we lost. (Woke up in the train station covered in piss.)
Went to pub with friends last year, we lost. (Woke up outside my house covered in piss.)
Had a party around mine 2005, we won. (Woke up in my king size bed with my sister in law smelling musky.)

This year, it's at mine with nearest and dearest, with a bottle of two of Champagne, hidden in the wardrobe for afterwards and an alarm set for late the following morning so we're in a nice position for the parade and bollocks I'm not jinxing it because I didn't mention the parade the last two seasons but I went on about it pre-2005. You've got to make plans in life for things that are going to happen. (Won't wake up with sister in law, they're divorced and she's in Spain somewhere.)

They're not divorced because you woke up in bed with her are they????

Last year was heaving outdoors, mainly due to the glorious weather. But inside wasn’t all that bad, until we scored and a flare broke the TV and we were all gathered around the small portable one in the corner of the by the exit.
AHA!

If there is any fifers on here who aren't going to Madrid and are going to be in Kirkcaldy on the day of the final then come to styx. The manager is a big Liverpool man and they are going to be turning styx RED FOR THE NIGHT.Should be a great atmosphere in the place from 6pm onwards with hopefully something to celebrate at full time. There will be food on aswell.

There's enough lads and lasses on here going to Madrid that I bet there's a fair few houses and apts empty that they wouldn't mind renting to fellow rawkites for a tidy but reasonable sum

Aintree race course is screening the match now.  Like any outdoor screening, it could be good unless it’s wet!! £10 per ticket.

Doubt there will be any left by 23rd for those who missed out. I'm really disappointed in the club for not opening Anfield.

There’ll be none left come the general sale. Got a hotel booked to come up to Liverpool but no idea where I’ll be watching - really disappointed the club haven’t made Anfield available.

I'm in the same boat, but got my 7 year old coming with me. I'm thinking I'm going to have to chance the Sandon pub. They've stated children welcome but it'll just be trying to get in early enough before they're at full capacity.

Priority given to those of us who missed out on the ballot, fair enough. But how about those who were successful in the ballot, but didn’t take up the offer of a ticket due to person or persons you applied with not being successful? No mention of that anywhere?

Good question..there’ll be a few hundred in that position. Would’ve rather gone in the ballot with my dad rather than on my own as I wouldn’t have gone without us both being successful. Just a suggestion to the club, similar to the way Thomas Cook did with linking up flights

Not sure, it's 11,500, I guess most would want to watch it with fans in the arena, so.....probably.

Yeah thats what I am thinking. I take it from reading the article that tickets are on sale on the ticket quarter site and not the club website?

I was thinking that; feels like if the arena sells out quickly then it's going to be a case of finding a pub and hoping for the best. I see Aintree have a screen but would rather be in town if I'm not going to be around Anfield.

Think I will have to settle for Aintree racecourse then the mad dash to get into town after the match.

How easy is it likely to be to get back into town afterwards?

Hi all.

I live in Leeds but Im really wanting to come into Liverpool for this.

None of my friends that I will be watching it with are Reds so they arent really up for paying to watch in the arena. We plan to get the train...im guessing most bars and pubs will have the game on.

Can anyone reccomend a good place to watch and in the past do most bars charge entry?

To be honest I think it be  hard going, hoping the station puts on extra trains.
If we win god knows !

That's what I was worried about - we're staying in New Brighton so town is fairly easy. Would prefer not to have to get another train from there to Aintree.

This was my position last year, I was able to buy on both fan cards when they opened one of the sales to unsuccessful ballot participants even though one of my fan cards won in the ballot and I didn’t buy.

If you are planning on heading to the Sandon or the Baltic Triangle (without a ticket) then you are really going to struggle if you can't get in anywhere. Transport links are not as good as you might think

Least with town if you can't get in 1 place, there will be plenty of time to get in somewhere else
