Infinitely better than Wijnaldum once again.

Its not the good game, its because he quite clearly is an intelligent and articulate lad, who showed very good judgement in the interview. I don't think he will be the next captain or even that we can ascertain whether he possesses the rest of qualities required to be a captain*, but in the brief insight we did get, he acted in an exemplary fashion.

*One of the reasons why it pisses me off when people say Hendo isn't a good captain. Like fuck if you know half of what you need to know to determine that. Klopp and Rodgers thought he was, and that should be good enough for you, as it is impossible for us to know otherwise.

Yes I agree he handled the interview well

He’s always come across intelligently
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

I can't help but feel impressed by him. There's something about his touch and strength that makes me think that under Klopp's coaching he's going to turn into a much better player.

Good to see he's proving people wrong, he made the right move leaving Arsenal as he was never really used correctly there. If he keeps improving and learning that midfield position he'll be pushing a fully fit Lallana for a starting spot in no time.

Kind of forget that football players can be intelligent people as well because on the news only the stupid ones seem to pop up. I don't think even the manager could have given a better response. Awesome, keep up the good work lad.

He brought some good elements of Arsenal i.e. ball carrying, quick passing, pass and move, which have been all lacking in our midfield, into the team. He also has strength, speed and good technique! We desperately needs a player like this in our midfield. Once he learns more from Klopp on defending, movement and positions, I believe he will be one of the main player in our midfield.

Don't think Arsenal did him too much wrong, more rather they didn't have a position for him. Most importantly, we, Liverpool, whoever, recognised he has abilities we can get the most out of, and he was smart enough to want the move.
We paid a lot, and that's obviously because Klopp sees him as a major part of the team going forward, and he is looking increasingly influential, strong, direct, and determined.
He's got a lot of experience too, and is still young.
I think he could be a key signing.
And good of Arsenal to give him a top football education without being able to fully utilise it.

That's roughly what I mean.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

Played really well today. His end product still needs work but under Klopp I'm sure that will improve. His energy, running and simply his attitude on the pitch will be pleasing Klopp in buckets. His passing is a bit more simple at times now too, early on he was trying Hollywood balls trying to impress. And hats off to him for his post-game put down of that reporter, that was class.

He’s already improved tremendously under Klopp and he’s been here only a few months.  Many people are trying to figure out who will play alongside KEita next year if Coutinho goes.  A full season, and a preseason, under Klopp and I think Coutinho’s replacement in midfield may already be here.

I thought today that he looks like he's lost some of that muscle. He looked like a damn cartoon character at Arsenal!  He looks like a proper lean player now.

He's good! Like him a lot, and it's cool seeing him improving game by game as he gets more used to his team-mates and new coaching and training methods.

If I remember correctly, Klopp suggested to Gomez that he needed to stop lifting weights and getting so big so he may have mentioned something to Ox as well.

Although Ox has the potential to play in midfield, does he have the nous to unlock defences as Cout. I do not think so. Ox seems to be a more direct player. We still need some one with tricky skills as the likes of Cout, Silva and Ericksen.

Can’t say as I haven’t watched enough of him. I know he’s comfortable playing in cm and on the left of a front 3. He also hits one of the best free kicks around.

Looking at some vids of Keita, he sometimes can unlock defences with some deft passing. But hes no tricky dribbler like Cout.
Will be an interesting summer if Cout leaves OR stays.

I think it was more that he was gunning for the position Aaron Ramsey had made his own. The Lallana injury's meant he's had more minutes here than he otherwise would have but glad to see he's coming along well.

Our midfield was reasonably balanced yesterday. Would be a bit fragile I think with both of them and Henderson. And I like both players. Would be interesting if we could pull it off, but I have my doubts.

From the moment we signed him, I saw him as Lallana’s natural replacement when he no longer has the legs. He’s clearly got the same sort technical ability and work rate, it’s all about whether Klopp can coach that same in game intelligence into the lad and whether he can stay fit, and on the evidence so far, it’s looking very good.

Would you say that Lallana is more fragile than Wijnaldum? I'm not sure about that. He is a more attacking player though, but on the other hand also very hardworking and one of our best when it comes to pressing the opposition into mistakes.

First time I'm posting in his thread, but that was a proper performance yesterday- and a proper interview!
He deserves the plaudits, the MoTM and Kloppo even singled him out for praise yesterday.

I can only see an up-curve from him, here on out.
When he was at L'Arse- he was the only outfield player for the past 3 seasons that I saw as a threat whenever he played. Glad we got him!
I remember him weaving and sprinting through our lads a few times and it was "scary"- trying to score and galvanize his mates. I know Jurgen can get that out of him- more consistently; and that's what I want to see. That tenacity, speed and strength. I just think he became disillusioned at Arsenal and when that happens and you have no faith left in the manager then you just have to leave. He always looked up for a game though.

I dunno, but from what I remember in the trashings against Arsenal, he was always the one who looked pissed as hell, wanted to try and at least score something and was a bit defiant.
I think we've got the right mentality at least. His timely intervention for Coutinho yesterday just proved it. Lad is no-nonsense!

He's been threatening that performance on the evidence of some of his sub appearances.

Good point made above about seeing him on the same pitch as Lallana - serious combined work rate there.

To give everyone an idea of what the lad is capable of at the best of times- and consequently what we can look forward to on a MORE consistent basis as Jurgen works with him and he integrates completely(and he improves..):

We're not there yet since there's still some integration needed so exciting times!
