STILL pissing down this month.  I have now seriously thought about never looking outside again................  :P

... only I am supposed to be going to the Lancashire match at Liverpool Cricket Club next week with my dad.  The forecast is looking so grim I think even now it may be a wash out. >:(

Stop duplicating threads.

here on the north coast of Ireland, I'm drinking beers out on the lawn, beside the swimming pool.  The sun is melting the tar.  They say it's gonna be a hot one, up to 19 degrees.

Worcestershire cricket ground is under water again.

Not surprising, it floods if too many people flush the toilet at once. :P

Tube, needless to say, is completely buggered. I have to get the bus out from Marble Arch to Oxford and, according to the AA, the part of the A40 that runs through Kensington is currently "dangerous"!! I hope we don't have to divert, like last night, when the driver got lost and ended up crashing into some speed bumps in a back street in W11.

Traffic report on fivelive just now was hilarious. M40, closed between junction x and x due to flooding, M25 gridlocked due to floooding, same with M5, M4, M42, M50 etc etc. All sorts of problems, they spoke to some fella around Oxford on the M40 who'd moved 3 miles in 3 hours.

Thought I would need an ark to get to my temporary workplace this morning...but got there on time despite the torrential rain, all trains running on time

Way home, in bright sunshine left the office at 4...didnt get back home till 6.30, took 3 changes of train and 2 and a half hours to travel 12 miles, due to the 'current adverse weather conditions'...'current' hmm? incidentally the rain stopped at 12.30

You couldnt make it up  ::)

I've just got in now. Spent the last 7 hours in the car. What should have been a 50 minute drive for me turned into a 7 hour gridlock. Fucking joke.

M40 needs some serious sorting out - there was standing water across all 6 lanes near the Warwick services, vehicles only getting through one lane and having to straddle the central reservation.

I hope not too many of you's got caught in it. I'll certainly think again before making unnecessary trips when the weather is bad. I should have known better really, but lesson learnt.

That could very well have been me heading southbound at around 12.00pm. Was utter chaos.
