Of course its fair enough. The lack of bull sh*t from Klopp in the presser was refreshing and encouraging as players will probably see through that
It was. Honestly- the man's words make you feel inspired.
He was honest and forthright, BUT still making a lot of sense when he said- if it's our last game, then let it be a football party and that if we have to go out then let's go out in the most beautiful way.

He gave the score and attempted to take the focus away from that and on putting it on playing and enjoying football. That's enough to disarm most people of fear, negativity and pressure. You don't hear any negativity or sense any regret or fear.

He really has a healthy way of thinking and looking at the world.

Would love to see Suarez lose it and get a red card. Hopefully a hostile atmosphere....anybody in the home section with a homemade Messi give us your shirt sign gets turfed out
Yep. Suarez to lose his head and Coutinho to wilt and sulk.

Just hope that our support is up for it 200%  and gets a good night's kip before tomorrow!  Hope the flags are out in force and we give ourselves a bit more of a chance by being obnoxiously hostile.  FFS. This is a Big Ears semi final, not the Carling Cup. Of course we're in with a shout. It' s Anfield under the lights and magic's going to happen.  The players don't need any fucking rest. They'll get that in a couple of weeks. Adrenalin and the Kop will do the job tomorrow.

Hope the general mood isn't too defeatist before we even kick off. You heard what the boss said in the press conference.
If the Kop is raucous and intimidating anything can happen! !

David Lynch from the Evening Standard says Ox isn't in training today after appearing to pull up during warm ups at Newcastle:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain not part of #LFC training. Appeared to pull something while warming up at half-time at St James’ Park on Saturday. Looks like another unfortunate setback.

We are but the main thing is that

1. They scored an away goal
2. barca underestimated them
3. They had their best players available

We aren't in the same position. Barca having experienced that result last year will make them more cautious, however the hope is that they aren't as focused since both Mane and Firmino are out.
1. Can get extra time with a 3-0 2. They’re far more likely to be complacent with bob and mo out 3. Our backups in those positions are at least as good as those ie under and Schick vs origi and shaq

And no Virgil van Dijk, either. Not a good end to the season, injury-wise.

Club spokesperson says there is no specific reason van Dijk and Oxlade-Chamberlain are not training - both are doing individual, bespoke sessions so have missed this open session for the cameras.  Both can still be available tomorrow night though #LFC

Hopefully van Dijk is just a precaution and nothing too serious. The training wasn't going to be intense anyway

The worst timing possible... if we somehow make it through to the final Klopp deserves 200% pay rise.

He should have.

No Van Dijk in main Reds training session
Fear not though, he’s taking part in a separate routine.

Firmino and Salah are blows as we have no natural replacements, it would have been nice to have a fit and in form Lallana, but unfortunately he is rarely fit these days.
It's a tough ask tomorrow even with everyone available.

Hopefully will emphasise the need to just look at additional options in the transfer window.

Whatever happens it's been an excellent CL campaign.

                  Allison

Trent    Matip    VVD    Robertson

                  Fabinho

         Milner     Henderson

                  Shaqiri

         Origi          Mane

They're the players I would go with, although Id have gone with Mane in the middle of a 3.

Fuck all to lose - let’s go out there fighting like fuck and scare the shit out the diving c*nts and see what happens

This is Liverpool - this is Anfield. Anything is possible and anything g can be achieved.

Bring it on. They were battered in all but score in the first leg and the reason they rested them was that they were fucked because we ran them ragged. We play with tempo like we’re capable, then it’s on.

Allez Redmen - let’s make it another European night that everyone envies us for

Jeezo....... its like we’re cursed!!!
Last season a keeper that throws 2 in.... as well as a worldwide overhead in the Champions League Final!! As well as losing the best Striker in Europe.
Losing the League Cup.... losing the UEFA cup.
Then we’re about to be runners up after getting enough points to have won every season ever..... apart from last season!!! Every season but 1!
And then we play great against a Barca and come away 3 nil down..... and then lose Salah to concussion!!! And Bobby...... so go into it massively depleted.

We need to get some priest or exorcist in to purge Anfield!!!

Imagine that the football Gods have agreed that one of these outcomes will happen in the next 48 hours ... but only ONE!

You can only choose ONE ...

A 4-0 win against Barcelona and through to the final

Or

A Leicester win or draw tonight

Let's try this out:

-------------Alisson

--------Matip-----Lovren

Trent-------Fabinho------Robbo

----Shaqiri---Gini---Milner

---------Mane-----VVD

And see if we can set a new record for crosses into the box! A left and right footer on each side. Two great headerers in the box.  ;D

clutching at straws here but no salah means mane gets more of the ball upfront to do damage
create 20 chances from a bulked up midfield and mane is going to bag some as hes been on fire this season

one can only dream

the reasoning behind this as well is to cut off the supply through the middle to their front 3

The defence has been outstanding all season, lots of clean sheets top performances, now we need them to score a few with our front three reduced to one. Van Dijk, TTA, and Mane all to score in normal time, with Andy getting his first of the season in the last minute of extra time after a typical lung-busting run down the left, leaving Pique in his wake. Everything is possible with this team.  :scarf :champ :scarf

He could relish being up front "alone". He has been on fire, especially the past few games. Robbo and Trent just need to keep firing those crosses in, I'm sure we can recreate some panic and free up some space for Sadio or someone else. I like Klopp's idea of having a football party, no pressure just play football. It could be fun.

if we peg them back as we did at barca, the potential for penalties and free kicks corners is there...not to mention that they could start with the dirty stuff
one man down could make a huge difference, maybe 2 ...strange things can happen

i want to see us pepper their goal with shots as anything can happen....90 minutes go for the jugular

We've had this ref once...Liverpool 3-2 PSG

With Barcelona his record: 4 W, 4 D, 0 L

I was hoping for the German ref Felix Berych as he allows more physical challenges to go and refereed the City and Roma games last year but he’s got the Ajax-Spurs gig unfortunately.

Cakir has refereed us another time though back in 2016:

Liverpool 4 Borussia Dortmund 3

I think Klopp will go for it.

But with little realistic hope of success, and as his priority, a view to keeping at zero any risks on players who might exacerbate injuries, and subsequently miss out next weekend.

So I don’t know who is in contention because I don’t know who the medical team will suggest needs a rest.

At a guess, I’d think it likely Origi will start. I think it possible too that given the available resources, Klopp might play both Trent and Joe Gomez - which would suggest a back 3, with Trent and Robbo as wing backs.

A radical departure from normal I know, but one answer to our selection issues.

I reckon he'll definitely be on the bench. Klopp will use the circumstances to give the young lad a boost, it's a no brainer with situation we find ourselves in really.

I'm not sure where the right place to ask this is, so I'll try here first. I'm going to be fasting tomorrow and the time to break my fast fast will be during the game. Will I be allowed to take food from home into the stadium? E.g. sandwich or some pastries

We've got 5 fit centre backs (Fabinho included), we can have VVD and Lovren up front for the last 10 a la Dortmund (sakho and lovren), VVD would shit them if we need a quick couple. Milner, Shaqiri, AA and Robbo to deliver.

                       Allison
AA        Gomez         Fabinho     Robbo

Shaqiri         Henderson        Milner

              Lovren   VVD  Mane

Brewster twice the player of Sturridge now. Its the pace that has killed him. Only place id back Sturbridge first would be arrieally.

Doesn't mean he will play thought not a Klopp thing to do.
