Of course it has come to a stop under Capello. How on earth is he supposed to pick a player who is never fit and is a shadow of his former self? There have been many players who have either not been picked for England during Capello's reign or haven't been picked nearly enough. Michael Owen isn't one of them.

He doesn't even try to shake off the 'Mr. England' tag. That's been one of the criticisms of him for years now, that he puts his country above his club. So what does he do? On the week of the Champions League final he goes and moans about how he hasn't played for England for 3 years. Why on Earth would Capello pick him above strikers who are actually playing more than 300 league minutes per season, who score and who aren't constantly injured? What a ridiculous thing to think.
