So it's World Cup Final Day
We will have a banner at the Final thanks to the hard work of Junaid
This has been a hell of a journey for all involved but I know that everyone involved who has done little or much would agree that it has been very worthwhile - BBC reports, Daily Mail, Junaid's interview on Radio City, Jonathan Pearce mentioning us on TV, Click Liverpool report and probably lots of other exposure we're not even aware of!
The aim was to increase the pressure on the owners and educate people not up to speed with the desperate state of our club's finances - I think we have done at least a little to achieve these objectives and so we should be proud of ourselves.
Let's use this as an opportunity to push on and keep the pressure on Gillett/Hicks/Purslow/Broughton/RBS etc etc - this battle has not been won and there is much more hard work for us to be getting on with.
Whether or not the banner is seen or is confiscated tonight this has been a success and I for 1 am proud to have been a part of it - it has been encouraging to see how many Reds wanted to get behind this to make a difference.
Good luck to Spain and Holland tonight, but most of all good luck to Junaid - and thanks to Ahmed and the rest of the guys who took the banners to previous games - you did yourselves and us proud lads.
