Its the big one this week. The Tour Championship.

I'm getting on Morgan Hoffman at 60/1 EW

Was on Hoffman last week and he could have won it with a half decent first round.  His final two rounds were world class.

When you bet on the tour championship, is that a bet on who will win the whole fed ex and the $10 million, or just the last playoff event?

That's just betting on the Tour Championship event

There are markets available though for who wins the fedex cup. Wouldn't put it past Mcilroy to win both this weekend. He 4 putted the same green twice over the weekend and still finished about 6th. He should have pissed it really.

Shaky start by Hoffman but a nice round in the end. Even par good score today.

Bubba's 6 on the par 3 6th is very annoying.

Might back him again though, think he's playing well despite the odd mistake.

Lets get this thread revived a little eh?. Had a nice few cashes lately but didn't tip on here coz they weren't actually tips and I hadn't had a sniff for ages.

Rookie on tour Tony Finau is causing a bit of buzz with his length off the tee, This guy hits it a mile (Well, actually over 340 yds) and has a handy all-round game to boot.  He can nail those par 5's which is reportedly a very handy per-requisite this week at Sea Island.

Last week at TPC Summerlin he went Driver-9 Iron (into the wind!) on a 560yd par 5 and hit it within 9 feet!!

He's 50/1 this week against a modest field.

I've also had a little go on Will Wilcox who can also nail those Par 5's. He's 200/1 but I'm still slightly unsure if he starts or not.

Liking the look of young Korean golfer Byeong Hun AN this week in the Dubai Desert Classic.

Coming into the big boys tour from the Nationwide Tour last year.  His results are getting better each week with great finishes in his first 3 starts.  T5 T12 T22.

80/1 EW

Byeong Hun finished just 2 shots of a place. Was up against a very good field too.

Doesn't look like he plays in the Malaysian Open this week but will keep my eye out for him in the future.

I agree as per your post in the non football bets thread that this worth reviving Pete.

So as per my post in there, I'm on Garnett at 70/1 with Paddy for the RSM Classic. Also had a dabble on Will Mackenzie for 1st round at the seaside course today at 50/1. Not much reasoning behind Mackenzie as he is in poor form but done well here last year first round.

My mate in work is an old timer who does not have any online accounts and he does all the research for me and in turn I put his bets down for him. He goes hot and cold as you would expect but what I tend to notice is that he is usually only a week or 2 premature when he doesn't hit. He always has some obscure picks in tourneys which most bookies don't offer markets for but Skybet usually have them so will keep you's posted on anything strange there.

He tipped Fabrizio Zanotti last week in the European tour but he failed miserably, it seems he has made a decent start this week. He tipped Malnati on the Monday a couple of weeks back when he took it down also.

Saw your big one with Smylie Kauffman a while back there Pete, Happy days!

Keep an eye on paddys live markets in the golf, especially the round leader ones as I think they are slow on changes again this week. Just took Tom Hoge at 45/1 round leader on the Seaside course today as he has started fast out of the blocks and a chance of another birdie on this par 5.

EDIT : Makes the birdie and Paddy finally kop it - slashed to 20's now

Have taken 2 early prices before they tee off for round 3 leader, just something small e/w on Jason Gore @ 22/1 and Robert Streb @ 40/1 3 places on Paddy. Everyone on the seaside course today and these 2 have both had good rounds on it plus Streb won this event last year.

Will wait til they're all out on the course later to find some value in the late chasers, will be keeping an eye on their live odds again to see when they're slow on the move.

Kisner brilliant here..

I reckon it's worth getting on him as a long shot ante post for the Masters. 125/1..

Justin Thomas at 100/1 too, I don't think they're that big in April.

Not sure if I'm missing something here but Paddy have Leishman still priced at 4/11 to win the Nedbank. He's 5 shots clear with 6 holes left, surely printing money!

Gary Stal won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship just 2 years ago and was 400/1 on Wednesday.

I forgot to put my bets on and he's -6 at the cut today just 4 shots off a place.

I've just backed him EW in-running with Betfred at 400/1 to avoid a deep dark depression should he go low tomorrow and then win the fucker.

I want to join in with a work US Masters bet, I need to pick 5 players. I don't know anything about golf but being the degenerate gambler that I unfourtantely am...that shouldn't prevent me from getting involved!

Would Fowler, Speith, Bubba, Grace be a good 4 based on the above posts? If so, who should be my 5th?! Tiger woods? ;)
