She played the French Open as a 15 year old if my memory serves. She's still only 17 now but she's shooting up the rankings. She plays Sabalenka next round.

Yeah was gonna say - Anisimova is no joke... looks a clear top 10 talent. That match vs Sabalenka could be something else.

Chardy played very well to be fair. Wasn't the usual Zverev choking.

Tsitsipas definitely deserved to win. Rodger failed to make the most of 12 break points while also incurring 55 unforced errors.

Been saying this for a while now. Djokovic seems to have Nadal's number in the big occasions. That's really his only obstacle outside of freak upsets.

I really hope it doesn't happen though. I want Federer to keep the record, it feels right being with him. That might sound childish, but nothing Djokovic does will raise him above Federer for me. I'd be fine with Nadal beating the record though. The similarity with him and Federer being that they are more than the sum of their victories. The likes of Ali, Bolt and Messi have their own unique identity that pairs with their greatness. The same is true of the unmatched gracefulness with which Federer dispatched his opponents and the relentless street-fighting tenacity of Nadal.

Djokovic is devoid of any of that charm. On talent alone he is unquestionably one of the greatest players of all time, and should he surpass Federer's record he'll deserve it. But for me it wouldn't feel right having him hold that honour.

Be interested to see how everyone else feels.

I guess a lot of people feel similar and I'm in the minority when I say I actually like Novak. But Federer and Nadal are both just beautiful tennis players. Novak is just a mechanical beast. I've always preferred Djokovic to Nadal, the latter who I've never really warmed to (but pleased he is back and playing well) but do think Djokovic will break Federer's record, and deservedly so if he does.

I hope so too, partly because he feels like an underdog* (if you can call him that) in all of this - whereas Federer and Nadal seem to be the people's champions, grace-wise, charisma-wise, looks-wise, Djokovic seems like a third wheel, doesn't really have the love that those two have, despite being their equal on the the court, or pretty close to them in grand slam numbers. He's ridiculous though, feels like a lot of time, no one can get past him at all.

I do agree that Djokovic seems to have Nadal's number but I don't really mind who wins, an epic five setter would be ideal.

*Also partly because I know Nick loves him really, methinks he doth protest too much about Djokovic
