For "blast" and sheer joy for me it would be Stevie's double vs West ham and Olympiakos. However for all of the above plus the breaking of massive "hate" fuelled tension with the dawning of the possibility of joy it's got to be Luis Garcia's complete half queued toe poke that's still spinning in the air and drifting towards the line, in slow motion, as I write even now. Gallas is swinging a boot but I don't think he's gonna make it ... is he Jose ? Possibly the worst goal Garcia has ever scored but it was beyond bliss.

Yeah mate, exactly that kind of goal. Off the top of my head, Suarez debut goal, Babel v Arsenal, Walters v Auxerre. Love them when they break and the crowd are screaming 'GO ON!' Shivers down the spine.

Really enjoyed reading this thread, often there's more to the goal than just putting the ball in the net, it's the context to it, the story of the match, it's all part of it, my favourite goal is Terry mcdermotts in the 77 European cup final, I was only ten, but that was really the start of it all for me, the build up to the game, having been beaten by some sh*t goal in the fa cup final a few days earlier, everyones windows full of flags and newspaper photos, how kneib was the best keeper ever, the line up of stars that BMG had.
In fact I love that goal so much, I replayed it in the blue anchor carpark a few years ago, In a drunken stupor at midnight, after boring the legs of some younger reds about the circumstances I made them all stand in their positions whilst I kicked a can around them. They thought I was f*ckn nuts.

Rush's volley at Villa when he scored a hat-trick in a Friday night televised game in 83/4 was an excellent goal. His technique was superb, but to do it on a frozen pitch made it even better. His 3rd wasn't bad either as he chipped 6ft 4 Nigel Spink from about 3 yards out.

More recently has to be Gerrard v Olympiakos. That was the moment I think most of us started to dream.

But my favourite is Rush v Everton to make it 3-1 at Wembley for the double in 86. My god I can still remember the joy. In finest detail.

the usual ones from the recent cup finals Smicer's long hit, Gerrard's 90 minute equaliser, Owen's goal to win it against Arsenal, other ones at the moment i can think of are Torres vs Blackburn and his wonder goal against Marseille, McManaman against Celtic and aston villa and collymore to win it against Newcastle

Probably not my favourite, but Gerrard's penalty against Arsenal in the 4-2 CL game the other year is up there in terms of emotion, for me. That game was exhausting to watch, from going behind to Sami's header to that Torres strike, to then seeing us throw it away by not just hauling Walcott down on the halfway line, and then going up the other end within seconds to see Gerrard, cool as you like in the 84th minute of a CL quarter-final, with the match on the line, smash a penalty into the net in the style that he did.
