I can't believe they cut to a dancer when 50p uncurled and got onto his feet so you couldn't see him do it!

Maybe they expected him to fail  :D

I thought the half time show was great, I grew up with these artists bar Kendrick. Don't think 50's heart is really in the music anymore :D. Seen in the NFL thread the rap experts weren't impressed  ;D

Mad choice by Kendrick to have Kodak Black all over his album.

Reckon that new Kendrick Lamar record will need another listen sometime soon. Felt it was very underwhelming to be honest. I did feel the same of his last one upon the first lesson though.

I feel exactly the same. DAMN was good, but a noticeable step backward. This is weaker still.

For me anyway. Glad others are enjoying it.

My fella got me tickets to see Little Simz in December for my birthday, and it reminded to post in here about how it's a toss-up between Simbi and Tyler for AOTY. If she doesn't become a huge star it'll be a travesty, I honestly think she's the most talented artist to come out of this country in years and years and years.

Point and Kill live

https://youtu.be/Smuu0CXgNWY

Rolling Stone live

https://youtu.be/fKwfdTj-hic

And the actual video for Point and Kill is boss:

https://youtu.be/tvY31eN3gtE

Very true, Little Simz is a rare talent and I think one of the few Uk artists who can breakthrough stateside, she’s that good, a US equivalent would have already been huge.

Interesting question would be apart from her who is the most talented rapper or artists to come out of the UK in the last 5-10 years? I would say Dave has to be in with a shout, a lyricist who can produce his own work, Knucks is another one who can both sing and rap plus produce as is J Hus. I think in terms of more traditional rap Potter Payper is someone who I’ve been very impressed by in recent years.

Melt My Eyez, See Your Future is the best hip hop album I’ve heard so far this year. That’s in a year Kendrick and Pusha have dropped so far which is pretty fucking incredible.

Sorry I meant to post this video with my original post, absolutely phenomenal song this.

I listened to Jayou by Jurrasic Five recently. What a tune that is and I love the lyrics .

He who sees himself in all beings and all beings in himself loses all fear.

- The Upanishads.

The heart knows the way. Run in that direction

- Rumi

You are held . You are loved . You are seen  - Some wise fella .

Stuff I've been listening to recently: -

Black Thought & Danger Mouse - Cheat Codes (great)
Pusha T - It's Almost Dry (great but not on Daytona level)
Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez, See Your Future (great)
The two Vince Staples albums that dropped this year are both great.
Kendrick Lamars album is still growing on me.

What you been diggin'?

I dip in and out of the transfer thread but find it goes around and around in circles most of the time  ;D
