longest I've ever managed to "keep" a bottle of winfe is about 4 months. Usual scenario is - 2 bottled down with some mates I think - "oh fuck it - lets open this it's meant to be really good"

Been there done that. With my second best bottle ever. A 1984 Cantenac-Brown Margaux. Cracked it open when I got into the RAF. Biggest mistake of my life....along with destroying my back and leaving the RAF.

Last time I was in Madrid (last Nov) we caught a train down to Segovia and managed to get into Meson Candido. Half a lamb and some fantastic Tempranillo later I seem to remember passing out on the stone bench outside the church for a few hours

I went on election day, a few days after thetrain bombs. Was out most of the day from lunchtime. Took in the manc derby and us losing at Soton. Can't remember getting back to hostel

And had to be on a train at Atocha at noon. Was still pissed when i woke up.

I'm biased I suppose, but I reckon it's one of the best there is- food wine women and the Bernebeu

Anyway booked me flight to Barca for easter. Pity Easyjet haven't started selling the return yet

Been to the bernabeu the other year when LIverpool played there.

Still prefer Barcelona as a city but have had some good times in Madrid as well.

I did the Bernabeau tour with a Geordie mate, his dad called to say Woodgate had joined. At that time we were in the dug out and he went mental! So damn funny!

Just drank a free bottle of Claret which came from a company called Calvet. We deal with them and the bloke himself came to see us. Only one bottle though. Git.
