If you're jailbroken then Moviebox is everything you need, and more.

Can someone please tell me what app my daughter needs to get free music on her iPhone 4s which doesn't need WiFi to listen to the songs.
She had itube which seemed to do the trick but it's not letting her listen to anything unless it's through WiFi anymore, she's almost in tears here as she loves her music.

It's not been jailbroken by the way.

Spotify maybe? I think they offer a free version, not sure how limited is, as they also have a paid montly version.

Or get something like Tune-In, which is loads of radio stations.

Cheers for the reply mate, she had Spotify for the free version but we didn't carry it on for some reason ? Might look into that again.

Weirdly though her iTube app just suddenly started working without WiFi again today so all's good for now, until the next time at least.

Try BlinkBox too - Tesco's version of Spotify. You can pick your artist to listen to, but can't pick specific tracks. Essentially you make your own radio station.
Thought that was just for Movies. She's got that app on her smart tv so will try that later as well.

Looking for a key logger for iPad 4, running 7.1 so unable to jailbreak.
Any suggestions and reasons why they are unavailable in App Store?

Got an original iPad running IOS 5.1.1

Is there any software that will allow me to drag and drop avi, mp4 etc on it to watch without using itunes? Some software that will turn it into a removable device or something? Then software to play it? It's jailbroken.

From the PC you can use iFunbox.

From the iPad, VLC player

I've just started playing a game called Monument Valley. Really enjoying it.

Costs £2.50 but well worth it in my opinion.

Has anyone managed to get Fifa 2014 working on an iPad Mini?

Since the latest 7.1 updates the app just crashes immediately, as soon as the first screen comes up, any way round this as the game is good on my iPhone?

Switch you ipad off then on again

If that doesn't work,

Delete it and reinstall it.

Usually works after that
“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”

My Ipad Mini is arriving sometime today special delivery and I am off on holiday tomorrow. I wont have much time to play with it or do any research whatsoever but really want the Ipad ready for music and films for my hols.

What is the best App for watching downloaded films on the Ipad Mini.  Film formats will probably be MKV, AVI and MP4

Also, I have read it's great as an E-Reader, so what is the bet app to use to download a few of the latest bestsellers?

cheers :wave

I use CineXplayer for playing my movies on it.

Apple have their own apps for music, videos and books though, so could just use those for simplicity to be honest.

Pete, if you're going to be using books which you've 'acquired' *wink wink* I would suggest a non-official reader like BlueFire or CloudReaders.

Bluefire is very good.

To be honest mate I didn't know you could 'Acquire' books.

I 'acquire' films from the usual torrent places.  Are books found in the same places?

Absolutely. The New York Times bestseller list which is updated every month is well worth 'aquiring', also there is a 500 great novels torrent on there somewhere - loads of modern stuff on there - crime thrillers, Bourne books, Jo Nesbo etc etc.

Superb Ta mate.

'Acquire' - :)

Ronnie Biggs, John McVicar, The Krays were all experts at 'Acquiring' stuff.  I'm in the big league now :)

What network are you on?

O2 have their own app, so I imagine the other networks do too...

I've noticed a huge difference in battery life (for the worse) since I reinstalled the Spotify and Gmail apps.

Are they both 'constantly on' as in run fairly battery intensive processes all the time?

I turned off that parallax effect and noticed an improvement in battery.

It's under settings > general > accessibility > reduce motion (set it to on)

Also I try to keep my brightness low depending or where I am. Screen brightness will have a big impact on battery life.

If that doesn't help then time to get a replacement battery.
