For weeks there have been conflicting reports over one African wonderkid in particular.

The 17-year-old Ghanaian was named MVP of the latest U20s AFCON tournament.

FootballGhana has now reported that Steadfast FC president Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has confirmed that he has made ‘over €1m’ selling Issahaku to Liverpool.

Indeed the report goes on to say that Liverpool have signed Issahaku for £1.5m.

The Reds have snapped him up on a five-year-deal and have agreed to loan him to Sporting Lisbon.

If this is true, hopefully he doesn't go the same way as Taiwo Awoniyi (and Allan) in terms of the work permit issues.

It won't. He's already got a call up to the Ghana team at 17 and was the voted the Best Player at the U20 AFCON tournament.
